After all, the Canadians have Stevie and Babs, the Americans have... American people... the Russians have Dats and Ovy, and the Red Wings.. er, Sweden.. have Nick, Z, Mule, etc. On the other hand.. The Canadians winning with Crosby would be intolerable. The Russians playing politics with all those crappy KHL players is annoying The Americans, while Burke is going through a tough time, I don't want a medal added to his 'GM cred' So I could see myself going for the Swedes, Finns, Czechs, or Slovaks Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I've always liked Russian players, and their Olympic team gives me the same sort of butterflies-in-the-stomach holy-s***-they-are-talented sick feeling that our '02 Cup team gave me. That said, in women's hockey, I'm USA all the way! If I had to pick A team, it would be Russia. The Russian Five brought the whole hockey world so many thrills and innovations. They probably even brought a whole new work and play ethic to American and Canadian players. Yeah, I know - none of them will be there except Fedorov, but I feel I owe them the return favor.
