T.Low 1,011 Report post Posted February 22, 2010 You can't really say that his goals were 'weak'..especially the first one. That first goal was scored doing exactly what he is supposed to do..rip the puck as hard as he can towards the net and keep it low to the ice and hope for a tip. That's exactly what a d-man is supposed to do and he is one of the best in the league at it. Deking around 3 guys and putting it top shelf is a 'pretty' goal for a forward. That first goal by Ralfie is a 'pretty' goal d-man style.

cjm502 165 Report post Posted February 22, 2010 Can someone find me a pic of Raffi playing in a team USA game? It needs to be his whole body because I plan to cut it out and use it in a team USA background. I cant find one anywhere :/
WingsWingsWings 3 Report post Posted February 22, 2010 Crosby probably doesn't understand why the puck didn't just stop directly on his stick. If you listen close you might be able to hear him say "Stop puck! Sidney Crosby commands it!" I mean, Gary Bettman told him it would work...

If you listen close you might be able to hear him say "Stop puck! Sidney Crosby commands it!" I mean, Gary Bettman told him it would work... Indeed one of the "bad bounces" Crosby was referring to in his post game interview. But, in the words of the immortal Darrin McCarty, "That's hockey!" Marty Barry 230 Report post Posted February 23, 2010 Awesome!!! Two of my favorite visiting celebrities were Gerald McRaney (Major Dad), and Walter Payton. The celebrities always say how much the visits with the soldiers move them, but it's the same in reverse.

Marty Barry 230 Report post Posted February 23, 2010 Not really Raffi related, but well within the alloted 6 degrees. J.R. opened his mouth again (shock), but that's why we love him. He could be our Don Cherry except that he will eat crow when needed. Mmmmmm. Crow.

EuroTwin 240 Report post Posted February 23, 2010 I love that Crosby is attempting to play defense and just fails so miserably. I hope Rafalski can continue to be awesome and then bring some awesome back to the Wings.

VM1138 1,921 Report post Posted February 23, 2010 It's not exactly his strong point. Not according to the NBC announcers who repeatedly state that he's amazing at every single aspect of the game (their words, not mine, from the USA Canada game).
blikst 1 Report post Posted February 23, 2010 Not according to the NBC announcers who repeatedly state that he's amazing at every single aspect of the game (their words, not mine, from the USA Canada game). I was watching the Swedish feed and he commentators mentioned Crosby having quite a bad game up until his goal. Maybe people see what they want to see? titanium2 867 Report post Posted February 23, 2010 I love that Crosby is attempting to play defense and just fails so miserably. Off the top of my head I can think of two examples where he just simply fails to demonstrate any intelligence in his own zone. http://redwings.nhl.tv/team/console.jsp?hl...mp;event=PIT536 -It's called being aware of your opponent and rotating properly. http://redwings.nhl.tv/team/console.jsp?hl...mp;event=DET350 -What the hell was even thinking? He left Datsyuk wide open.
Inultus 12 Report post Posted February 23, 2010 That was a great video about Rafalski and I'm very happy for him and that a guy from Michigan has been basically the best player on the best (so far) team in the Olympics.
