Our players play hard when they feel like it, make stupid decisions in the neutral zone, and have two goalies which are shaky in net. Nice going Wings, We didn't need this one anyway. It seems that whenever the Wings win and need a team to lose, the other team wins. Whereas when the other team loses the Wings will fail to capitalize on it and things won't change. Despite bad luck and injuries all year long, the Wings have had every opportunity recently to get their crap together and start fresh. And they're blowing it. They're running out of time before the end of the season to wake up. That's because you're living in the past. We have too many has-been's on our team. Even our top players aren't playing as well as they used to. Look at Vancouver and how many guys they have this year overachivieng. All our guys are underachievers. gcom007 1,465 Report post Posted March 4, 2010 Good to see that our "trades" are helping this team so much. I've been saying for awhile, I don't like the chemistry of this team when healthy. Good on paper in many ways, but simply lacking in any punch on the ice. And the more we struggle, the more the team just seems to look more and more defeated. The whole "bad habits" thing that Babcock has referred to many times this year just keeps coming up. Or when the puck is behind them, why do they never STOP at the net if their name isn't Holmstrom? Seriously, this team wants to play at the blue line and along the boards. You CAN'T win NHL games this year and it's pu$$y hockey anyway. Unless this team toughens up in a hurry they aren't going anywhere this year and given that I'm so sure Holland will change the attitude of the team ( ) next year likely won't be much different. They had an olympic break too, so this is only the 2nd game of their current roadtrip. Still sad to see the Wings play like this.. although I don't think they've been that terrible. I know he didn't have many options but he should have made even a lateral move just to infuse some fresh energy. Sigh. It's really hard to stay positive this season. The Olympic break was really the team's last "do over." Their last chance to get rid of bad habits. There is something seriously wrong. SERIOUSLY wrong.
