There are enough injuries that a dropoff in scoring is understandable, but the "depth" guys need to step up. Modano looks like he learned how to play hockey last July and I haven't seen any evidence Hudler actually returned from Russia.

I bet you've used that line before many times, right? ;)

It took your mother and I some time, but we eventually got onto the same page.

I loved that thing. Easy to just park in a corner of the screen, so I could watch the scoreboard and work.

Exactly. The page they have going now is garbage, only seems to update every few minutes instead of having a real-time running clock and everything. Just another example of the league screwing things up.

Babcock looked like he was chewing Modano out at one point in the game.

This isn't Dallas anymore, where everyone will bend over and take it from him. We don't like lazy floaters here in Detroit. And we have no sentimental feelings towards him either.

Hope so. He can't just think that he doesn't have to do the dirty work because he has a reputation for a good shot.

But a lot of Stars fans would tell you that's how he plays on the PP.

nice to see the Wings got 2 points that were definately needed

Also, did anyone with Center Ice have a feed that was lagging behind at all? Mine was working fine, but lagging behind to the point that I saw the final score about 3-4 mins before the Wings actually scored the winner

I noticed our PP seemed to be playing a umbrella style for a good part of the game it seemed like we had 3 players at the blue line, one along the side boards and the other sometimes in front of the net. No down low plays for the most part.

Any way's the PP sucked. Hopefully they can work it out by Thursday.

On another note i thought Kindl played a good game. He jumped in the play, was pro active and I personally didn't notice any glaring WTF moments from him.

A nice 2 pts, to bad we didn't prevent the yotes from 1 though.

Lastly thanks Drumnj for the stream.

Hudler, hmm... name sounds familiar but not quite ringing a bell. Oh, is he the guy who took the bad tripping penalty in the offensive zone?

What was wierd is that Babs sat Homer during the 4 minute PP at least that's Ken and Murphy said.

I think Kindl has Ericsson's spot now. Not only is he doing the little things right but he is also like you said pinching just a little bit.

Babcock mentioned during the post-game interview that he sat him on purpose just to switch things up.

Seems like the two points they got were an ugly set of points. But whatever. Points are points. Hell I'd be thankful if they were able to get some more ugly goals. Soon they'll have a good game and we'll forget all about this one.
