Yah, Guerin's friends talked him into standing next to a restaurants' sign, that was located in downtown Pittsburgh during the stanley cup finals:

Apparently this BBQ place has awesome/clever sayings on it all the time and it's a staple of the city. i don't get all the Guerin hate, maybe it's due to the fact he played for the Penguins and everyone is still so butthurt over that lose.

He was a good player and a pretty good goal scorer. Not HHOF worthy, but should be recognized as a good player. Plus, he represented the US of A quite well in international tournies.

I've never liked Bill Guerin. He spent most of his career playing for rivals of the Wings and it's not like he ever gave me a reason to like him. The incident with the sign was just the icing on the cake. Respect him all you want, but you can't tell me that's not a ****** move. Just like the Edmonton Sun writer everyone jumped all over, no one wants to see someone bash on a city that is obviously struggling.

Ya, well it's too bad the NHL had to bail out the city of Pittsburgh (by GIVING them Crosby) thus forcing the Pens to stay in that Sewer better known as s***sburgh. There you have it, if Detroit is the Toilet, then s***sburgh is the Sewer it drains into! Hey Lemieux, how's my s*** taste?

Back on topic, what an ass for retiring as a Pen, how about the team you spent your glory years with? The team that drafted you and you won your FIRST Cup with? (which also was against Detroit) Nice to slap the fans of that city in the face! Bet that the Pens pull a Bourque s***alanche and retire Guerin's number?
