mroepke5 9 Report post Posted January 2, 2011 Horrible period from the Wings ... the absence of Pavs is finally starting to show, along with there being no Cleary. However, this goes back to my point from before where Howard is just letting in too many goals this past month or so. Granted, the first 2 goals were unlucky but the 3rd one I still think he could have had. On the 2nd goal, Howard was laying down on his stomach... I would like to know why he would do that on a shot from the point... you are supposed to make yourself big so that is a clear sign he has no confidence. IMO this is a clear sign that Ozzy needs some starts here... I would even like Ozzy to come in period 3 here to shake the team up and try to get them going-- but for sure next game I see what you are saying, but you gotta remember Howie is the man now. You were talking about his confidence earlier, how would pulling him for the 3rd and putting Ozzie in net again next game boost confidence? It's a mind game with goalies. I am not against Ozzie getting some time, but I wouldn't pull Ozzie here and start him now. Hahaha, and now I see Ozzie is indeed in net. We'll see, just my opinion. But making a change in goaltending is an easy way to send a message to a team playing badly.
