Jackson on my kindle. I am now ready to be a daddy. / *Checks Router* No, I'm positive I didn't hit the "Wings Defense Sucks" button. Electrophile - I'm just glad the Wings were able to win despite the Curse of Brian. ACallToArms - I think Trey needs to put something about payroll tax and deferred income in his sig... Edicius - I'd rather [have] a soundbite of me saying "I like (man sausage)" rather than "I like Crosby".

Guess i'm not a xenophobe....I don't get the French-Canadian coach thing...
Not really about xenophobia. More about how there are no successful ones.
I've never been called a xenophobe, but the truth is I'm not. I honestly just feel that America is the best country and all the other countries aren't as good. That used to be called 'patriotism'.

French Canadian coach.
I wouldn't have a problem with it. There are plenty of good French Canadian coaches, contrary to what the OP thinks. Just look at Guy Boucher in Tampa right now.

I was young, but I never disliked French Canadian coach Jacques Demers. He did win 2 jack adams awards and started the winning ways in hockeytown. Babs went to McGill in Montreal... food for thought.
Edit: I see Bryan Murray and Scotty Bowman were born in Quebec as well

That's not patriotism. That's called "American Exceptionalism" and it's dangerous. It's the idea that we're perfect, every other country is s***, and thus we do no wrong and only do right. We all know that's a crock of horsepuckey. People that think this way scare the living daylights out of me.
