Guest Howard He Do It?! Report post Posted February 17, 2011 When it rains it pours. The Canucks will be shopping but the asking price is going to be inflated due to their situation.

BigWillieStyle 662 Report post Posted February 17, 2011 That sucks. I feel so bad for The Nucks. The price of D-men is going up quickly.
Rick Zombos Ghost 82 Report post Posted February 17, 2011 They should get BRAD Lebda. He was one of the best signings in the off season for the Leafs!

Konnan511 1,736 Report post Posted February 17, 2011 Kindl and Hudler for Kesler... If only. One hell of a lopsided trade.
hooon 1,089 Report post Posted February 17, 2011 I'll trade Jirterri Filpudler and Jaclan Salndl for one Ryan Kesler.
Chairman Maouth 97 Report post Posted February 17, 2011 Not going to be any trades in Vancouver. While the current injuries rival anything I've ever seen before, all D-men are expected back by the playoffs.
NeverForgetMac25 483 Report post Posted February 17, 2011 If ever the Wings were going to make a move at that #1 spot, now has gotta be the time.
stevkrause 1,247 Report post Posted February 17, 2011 ok, where's the hidden camera, someone is clearly playing a practical joke on them now, 6 of their top 6 now out?! This is some BAD luck... we BETTER catch them in the standings now... By the way, you forgot Salo (although he's always injured, so I guess it's just par for the course with him) They could pull some major rent-a-player deals with all the open capspace to LTIR for right now, they could always waive someone if needed when they come back to become compliant... wingslogo19 281 Report post Posted February 17, 2011 Really bad luck for the Canucks.. chairman Maouth, any idea who they will be calling up from the Moose?

Chairman Maouth 97 Report post Posted February 17, 2011 (edited) Really bad luck for the Canucks.. chairman Maouth, any idea who they will be calling up from the Moose? Well out of our top 6, 4 are out and one (Salo) is still working himself back into the lineup after being out nearly a year. We're running on less than a third of our cylinders at the moment. Additionally, guys we've brought up to replace the injured have also been injured. Now I believe we're at number 13 on the depth chart with first year AHL pro Evan Oberg getting the callup tonight because of Bieksa's injury. If we don't have some guys returning before the next time we play the Wings, the Wings are gonna be eying up our defense like a biker gang eyes up a room full of virgins. Chairman Maouth 97 Report post Posted February 17, 2011 (edited) I LoLed. (but certainly not at your expense Chairman) Oh it's all good. I have to make jokes about it at this point. It was comical after the Ballard and Hamhuis injuries, then Alberts... with Bieksa now it's moved towards the ridiculous. The guys on Vancouver sports radio have pretty much stopped analyzing things now. When you tune in chances are you'll probably just hear a bunch of nutty laughter with no commentary whatsoever. It's like some sort of weird MP3 on endless repeat. But you've got to wonder how Christian Erhoff feels at the moment -- probably like the second to last camper alive in a slasher movie. Yeah, I kinda feel for you. Injuries suck when they pile on. Pretty awesome though that you guys have still been winning fairly regularly.
Earthhuman 8 Report post Posted February 18, 2011 (edited) Out of curiosity, when are these injuries projected to affect VAN's team performance whatsoever? Any faith in that team by the fans is well-deserved.. I don't see many teams that could take them on and win 4 of 7. In my opinion, they have to beaten both on the ice and off, in terms of rest, fitness, preparation, etc.; then, obviously, execution. The alternative is breaking some bones, and it looks like several teams have that idea already. Edited February 18, 2011 by Earthhuman
Chairman Maouth 97 Report post Posted February 18, 2011 (edited) They just showed number 13 depth defenceman Evan Oberg on the Canucks pre-game show. He looked a lot like this. Edited February 18, 2011 by Chairman Maouth

Chairman Maouth 97 Report post Posted February 18, 2011 (edited) Good Lord Chairman, you're taking this so well. In George Eman Vaillant's (1977) categorization, psychological defense mechanisms form a continuum related to their psychoanalytical developmental level.Vaillant's levels are: Level I - pathological defenses (i.e. psychotic denial, delusional projection) Level II - immature defenses (i.e. fantasy, projection, passive aggression, acting out) Level III - neurotic defenses (i.e. intellectualization, reaction formation, dissociation, displacement, repression) Level IV - mature defenses (i.e. humor, sublimation, suppression, altruism, anticipation) In other words, at least I'm being mature about it. Canucks announcer says - "Canucks defenceman Sauve clears the puck." I thought - WTF? Who the hell is Sauve and where the f*** did he come from? Chairman Maouth 97 Report post Posted February 19, 2011 (edited) He came from the Salmon Kings, I watched him a few times earlier this year before he was called up to the Moose and now with the Nucks Yeah I know. It's just that I heard the name and couldn't place it for a second. Dan Hamhuis ready to go tonight but Coach Vig isn't panicking. Bringing him back next game on Tuesday against the Habs. Ballard is supposed to follow shortly afterwards next week. The storm we were facing may not be bad and as long as previously thought. Bieksa back in 2-3 weeks will give us 5 of our top 6 which we basically had all year anyway. It's just that Salo and Edler have switched places - Salo back and Edler injured now. He should be back for playoffs. Edited February 19, 2011 by Chairman Maouth
