Yeah...time zone in Tokyo can be a real *****.

Didn't know you were there. Exchange student?

Is it anything like Lost in Translation? (minus the Scarlett Johansson part)

He started the fight well, but lacked that killer instinct to finish Ott off.

Cory Cross's beating of Ott still stands as the best Wings fight in recent memory. :hehe:

I'm partial to the Fischer/Hartnell fight, myself.

Shorter, but sweeter.

I have a fear that Holland's only trade will be acquiring Modano and Filppula off of the IR.

yea its bull, idc what we have to trade/do to to have someone thats not a complete ***** ass.

That fight happened several years before the Cross/Ott fight.

Pretty sad how we have to go that far back for memorable Wings fights. <_<

Well I figured we were just talking about most memorable in recent history.

What about Downey on Lappy in 2008? That was a pretty nice one, too.

I wish. Prepare for disappointment...just like tonight's showing by the Wings.

At least someone stood up to Ott. He was making my blood boil with the crap he was pulling, yet again. He's not even tough or a good fighter. Even Abdelkader managed a win against him.

They played better in the final two when they started playing hard/pissed. Shame they cant bring it for 60 mins a game.

Definately. Never in years has someone been so worthy of a beatdown by Wing. Gotta love the turtle as well.

In terms of excitement, Datsyuk v Perry was the best...Eaves v Versteeg was a good one. Gotta love unexpected fights.

That was a great one too.

I remember screaming at Lappy all night during that game. Even after the game I was furious and yelling. My neighbors must have thought I was getting raped.

I need to find the GDT of that game in the LGW archives. Probably some interesting stuff posted there. :D

Was watching the replay on my Tivo, was half way through the second, and I knew the Wings wouldn't even make it close. I was right. Our defense is horrible. We are SO WEAK on the boards.

It's too bad I wasn't on internet forums at the time.

I enjoyed Lappy going after Downey later in that game and Downey just clotheslining him, then Babcock going after Granato. This may be nostalgia coming over me but it would be nice to have a game like that again.

Here is what I think after this game:

- Howard is not cutting it... Babs needs to get Ozzie going March 9th when he returns and if Ozzie feels good and plays good then he needs to be our guy

- tonite showed me again why I HATE babcock's D pairings... the team plays best with Lidstrom and Rafi together he needs to get that in his head

- Franzen continues to be useless... with Fil and Modano back on Saturday I would like to see Franzen sit the game out.

- with the guys back these are the lines I want Babs to use:

Zetterberg- Datsyuk- Homer

Cleary- Filpulla- Hudler

Bertuzzi- Modano- Franzen

Miller- Draper- Eaves

Lidstrom- Rafalski

Kronwall- Stu

Salai- Ericson

- I know the 3rd pariing sucks but at least we can maximize our first 2 pairings (we won the Cup doing that did we not)

- Pavs and Z are the best line in hockey when they get their chemestry and I want them on the same line as Pavs can feed Hank

Well, I guess it's time to pull out my old 2002 Game 7 shutout against Colorado, so I can remember what real Red Wing hockey is like. While I'm at it, maybe I can find Grimmson's one-punch KO of Jeff Odgers.
