Never seen this before but it is now my favorite Datsyuk article that i have ever read. Thanks for posting. I'm so glad we have Pav on our team, not just because of his skill level but because he is just an all around good person.

I agree with this. Pavel is probably one of the most under-appreciated players in the NHL to the casual fan.

That's probably the 3rd or 4th time I've read that article. It is an intimate look at a rare human being and is exceptionally well written.

I have to admit, when I first read this I broke down and cried. I know that feeling of losing parents, as I've lost both of mine, but not at 16. That's a hard age to go through even under the best of conditions, but what he went through had to be just the lowest of low.

An awesome glimpse into a one of a kind type player. After this, I appreciate him more than I have ever have. And that is saying an awful lot.
