Wisniewski likely to reach July 1 without deal from Canadiens

Excellent News, even though we knew it was inevitable.

Liked this line:

"If he hits free agency, the Red Wings could be the frontrunner to sign him. With the retirement of Brian Rafalski, they have the money to spend and a hole to fill.

Wisniewski is also a righthanded shot, which is appealing for a Detroit blue line loaded up with lefthanded shots, and a native of Canton, Michigan."

Tallon had him in Chicago though so expect him to offer a 10 year deal worth around 70 million.

Following the retirement of the Michigan native who was brought in to be a top PP guy, we're looking to replace him with a Michigan native who is great on the PP. Match made in heaven no? :hehe:

Would love to see the wings pick him up, we will finally have someone to stand up for their teammates

And contribute on the score sheet. ;)

yep, and hit, he is well rounded and should fit nicely in the wings lineup

This is the addition I support, I am not against fighting, I just want the scoring on top of it... god... i miss Shanny.

believe me im not in the camp who wants an enforcer either, but we at least needed a guy who could beat people up and contribute, maybe that wasn't possible with rafalski's contract, but it is now.

I will eat crow if he doesn't make it to UFA. I swore up and down that trading for negotiating rights was stupid, and especially so with Wiz.

I think it is a poorly kept secret that we have mutual interest.

Even more so that Ehrhoff is looking for 5 million a year.

Well I for one wouldn't be too surprised if he signs for big $$$, and it's not with Detroit.

To me there's the distinct possibility of Kaberle joining the Red Wings.

My buddy who's a Leafs fan keeps saying it, I just dont want to believe it. I'd rather give Ehrhoff 6mil then sign Kaberle.
