What did Ken Holland Think he was getting with Carlo? He is made of glass and has been his whole career. With the Wings losing Nick and Stuart we needed guys that are durable not this guy. If the talent pool is thin take the guy that will play 82 gms for ya. I am starting to question the direction that Holland is taking this team. It was easy for him when he could spend spend spend but a few of these last picks are ???????? Carlo, Commie, Sammy, Hudler, Quincey, Emmerton etc

Kindl is missing a great opportunity.

He's going to have to make some kind of an impact, or his clock is ticking. Sounds like Babcock is real high on Lashoff, and he's no longer waiver exempt next season...

why is it always the Wings....why why why
they could bring in Tavares, Thornton, Suter and Ovechkin and they would all be injured within two games

Poor Carlo.
In the last 4 seasons he hasn't played more than 67 games in a season.
And he's only played more than 67 games once in his 10 year career.
He's a serviceable #5 or #6 guy when healthy...and I thought he was in St. Louis the last few years. The problem is that he always seems to miss at least a fourth of the season due to injuries. And that doesn't figure in the games he gets hurt in and returns 10 minutes, which happens a lot.
I'm not sure why Detroit passed on Redden, saying they had no interest. He has looked fine the past couple games since being inserted into the lineup. For $800k, I thought Detroit could have really used him. Low risk, high reward type of situation.

Ah, Carlo, we hardly knew ye. But we should have known half our players would come back (albeit briefly) and then head to the infirmary. Positive: they might get this all out of their systems early in this short season and finish strong.
OK. I am being positive here. Help me out! ![]()
