Hockeytown0001 7,652 Report post Posted March 31, 2013 Fire this CLOWN, his players hate him and wont play for his BS.... @imseanavery is #winning Starting to think he's right. The Rangers have been terrible this year and its due in large part to Tortorella's system. 1 hillbillywingsfan reacted to this

Resetti 44 Report post Posted March 31, 2013 I've suspected that the Rangers players have been tuning out Tortorella for a while. He's not a bad coach, he has a lot of hockey sense, but he is such an abrasive personality that it's only a matter of time before he wears thin. Still, Avery calling anybody a clown is rich. MabusIncarnate 5,344 Report post Posted March 31, 2013 Tortorella saw Avery for what he was, pushed him out of the lineup constantly and ultimately treated him like a non-NHL caliber player, not shocked at all that Avery has sour feelings honestly, regardless if the comments are true or not. Something is going wrong in New York, they have a skilled team that right now is struggling to hang onto a low seed playoff spot.
frankgrimes 1,836 Report post Posted March 31, 2013 Hardnosed and stubborn coaches are having a very short stint and Torts is the best example of a coach demanding too much and being stubborn. Read a poll where players stated him and Wilson would be the last coaches they'd be willing to play for.
