Datsyuk's agent came out immediately saying it wasn't true. Most likely Chicago journalists trying to get them off their game :P :sarcasm:

Datsyuk is going to the Swiss league with Z and Flip to break the single season records. He will be back 2 weeks later for the start of the NHL season!!!

I really hope he announces his intentions this summer because I really can't take a whole season wondering what's going to happen.

of course i intensely want pavel to stay...but he would be one of the few athletes i'd fail to criticize for whatever decision he makes. i often assume pro athletes make their decisions for selfish reasons (and might be very wrong to do so), but he has my complete respect. i consider watching him develop over his entire nhl career just as enjoyable as watching nick lidstrom. for different reasons, but very much the same. i'd be sad if he left for the khl, but i'd gladly line up to shake his hand if he did. we're lucky to have had him on our team.

Just stalking Datsyuk on his FB account. I swear he loves the fans more than we love him. Some of the pics the guy has of his fans on there make me believe there's not way he's done this early.
