Not done yet according to LeBrun:

Briere via text says nothing done yet

Briere hasn't made his choice yet.

Now I would call it official:

Canadiens have agreed to a 2-year deal with forward Daniel Brière.

Seems like the typical player Montreal would love.

Is Briere worth 4 million a year? IDK.

The Canadiens seem to do everything they can to keep the team at the minimum average height possible.

According to Helene St. James, Cleary's got up to a dozen teams interested in signing him.  Maybe Nill will grab him to play with his buddy Horcoff when that trade's final.

On the Briere front, very glad that Kenny stayed away based on that cap hit.  Well, one of the reasons I'm glad he stayed away.

This Brierre signing is most likely gonna raise the financial bar for other UFA's looking for their pay day.

Once again, Montreal management is making a move in an attempt to improve on a team in disrepair. I give credit to them.
