this is the big misunderstanding with Zadina.  He's not supposed to be creative and dynamic.  the same way kozlov wasnt the creative and dynamic player on his line, no disrespect.  Zadina needs Larkin right now.  It's that simple.  The issue we have is that we only have Larkin.  Our center depth is terrible.  Its Larkin and thats it.  The rest is 3rd line quality at best.  Wings are in a good spot at wing in that we have enough mouths to feed (Bert, Zadina, Vrana, Raymond, Veleno).  But we have only one cook.

A classic it's not Zadina's fault he's awful post... it's his linemates fault... a lot of the others are getting their eyes opened... soon you'll all be telling me you weren't high on Zadina agreeing with me with out admitting it.

And what an accomplishment this would be! Would this sort of be like graduating high school for you?

Right. But the sense in pointing this out is the difference between Raymond and Zadina. Both high draft picks in the same position with similar expectations. Except it's quite obvious only 10 games in at 19 years old that Raymond is going to be a pillar on this team moving forward. Zadina at 100 games in at 22 years old looks like at max a 2nd liner.

Exactly. My vote is we hold out until they have their breakout seasons. Don't buy the hype, and sell them when the stock is high.

The Breakouts aren't coming...

No more like a kindergarten graduation... ie. Anyone with a brain should have seen it too.

Just to be clear, I never said Zadina was the next Tarasenko.  From the start, my expectation of him was to be the 2nd line left wing who scores 40-50 points a year.  And that expectation didnt have a 2 season time frame on it.  This KID is 21 years old.  He has been an NHLer now for 2 years, which is a far cry from the 4-5 year AHL ripening period we gave Tatar and Nyquist.  Im not saying he's going to develop into the 60-70 pt guy we want.  Im saying he could.  And like I said before - next man up?  Chase Pearson?  You can ***** about Dekeyser right now because we DO have better alternatives.  As far as Zadina, he's head and shoulders better than the alternative at this point.
