Losing Walman hurt. There are 20 Maattas every year in free agency. That was a good trade imo.

Andrew Gibson might be as good as Alec Regula some day. another dime a dozen prospect.

We also got Jesse Kiiskinen in that trade and hes currently the top u20 scorer in Finlands top league.

I'm not suggesting those moves would kill our organization, I'm suggesting that all of them are contrary to SY's stated goal of making us a better defensive team.

Edit: In addition, it's hard to take SY seriously about the need to improve defensively when we dress Debrincat, Kane, Tarasenko, Raymond, and Berggren every night. Several of those guys are famously bad defensively, and none of them are all that good. If he wanted the team to be better defensively then why is the roster full of guys who aren't any good at playing defense? We don't need Tyler Motte. We need legitimate top six players who can ALSO play defense adequately, and that's something SY hasn't bothered acquiring at all.

so is it the team or is it the coaching ?

Granted we don't have the most talent but shouldn't a coach play to the teams strengths and try to hide the weaknesses?

Team is a reflection of the coach and he seem so non invested....emotionally

Both team and coaching...

HOWEVER...

It's the responsibility of the coaching staff to get the guys to buy into and play a system (what system Lalonde has implemented - I haven't a clue)...Most nights this team looks lost, unmotivated, incapable, or unwilling to play at the NHL level...Winnipeg is certainly a top 5-10 NHL team right now and the way we're playing the Wings are a top 5-10 AHL team.

After his 1st season I gave Lalonde a pass, but was suspect...This past season it was clear that this team needs someone else behind the bench...Now we're seeing a carryover from last season and if Yzerman doesn't care for additional scrutiny he'll need to make a move, but I won't hold my breath since this is Lalonde's last season under contract...We'll likely see a new guy behind the bench this summer 2025.

I think most of you are coming around.  You've figured out that we can't win with SEX TOYS playing defense.

Goal 1:

s*** line change by the Butt Plug leaves Edvinsson and Johansson flat footed.

Goal 2:

Butt Plug is on the ice, so we're going to get cycled on, but Raymond and Debrincat need to stop being asshats on defense.  Come on.

Goal 3:

image.png.cd46bced0566dfb414fe81c24f7cde3c.png

One of Seider's 8 bad plays all year long.  He gets a pass.

Goal 4:

image.png.adcc9f1ac701909e3f66e010cf8f2627.png

The Dildo overskates the puck.  Not much you can do when the Dildo plays like the Dildo.  Butt Plug isn't going to save the day.  Honorable mention - Dycknose the Dumbdyck for starting the Dildo and Butt Plug in the 3rd period.  GREAT coaching mover there, Dycknose.  No better way to kill a rally than starting 2 TRASH players on fresh ice against a fast team.

Goal 5:

image.png.53e78d1ed1fabee2b91a8ddc2a15c34c.png

Goalie has to stop this one.  This is a 40' wrist shot.  Cossa will stop this in the future.

Goal 6:

image.png.dfa3570b7e5270ff307a44ecf182fadd.png

Another 40' wrist shot that the goalie should stop.  But it didn't help him having Butt Plug skate right in front of him just before the shop.  46 and 8 take another minus here.  Big surprise.  The Dildo and the Butt Plug.

The ONLY good thing about last nights game is that they left the Ball Gag in the press box.  They might have gotten into double digits if the Ball Gag had played.  So good on Dycknose for getting Johansson some ice time.

WTF is our GM thinking with this defense of SEX TOYS and coach that gives them 4 times the amount of minutes they should get?  I cannot understand it for the life of me.  All you have to do is watch every game and pay attention to who's on the ice on defense.  Very simple thing to do.  Seider and Edvinsson - puck goes in our zone, 5-10 seconds later, puck goes out of our zone.  If they're on the PK, the puck gets cleared, rarely a goal.  Sex Toys - puck goes in our zone, and the other team cycles until they turn it over, the puck gets deflected out of play, there's an icing, there's a penalty, or there's a goal.  1% of the time, the Sex Toys will make a decent play and transition the puck the other way.  If they're on the PK, there's a HUGE chance of the other team scoring.  Holl and Johansson - just steady.  Not a problem.  Not noticeable in a bad way, which is a good thing.

We're all WASTING OUR TIME this year watching this TRASH.  It's a debacle.
