I've got a board i post on for pretty much every michigan sports team - wings, lions, pistons, tigers, uofm, etc.  And I'm obviously not speaking for EVERYONE here...but...

This is BY FAR the MOST BITTER message board in all of Michigan sports.  And it's not just responses to my posts.  It's everywhere.  90% of the content I see posted here is b****ing and whining.  I don't think I've ever - in three years - seen an optimistic thread here (that wasn't obvious, ala 'we love pav,' 'jimmy was great in that shutout').  If someone is ballsy enough to be optimistic, he gets completely ripped to shreds.

Isn't it ironic that the best team in the area, by far, has the most bitter fans?  You're all just a bunch of hockey brats if you ask me.  None of you have your own ideas. And there's nothing any of you enjoy more than shooting down others' ideas...or b****ing about the players...the coaches...the executives...

It's really pretty unreal.  Bitter and pathetic people.

Oh, we all have our own ideas, we just don't make a new lines thread everytime we have one.

Jagr definitely wouldn't be my first choice, but AT THE RIGHT PRICE.. and ONLY at the right price, he could be a decent top-6 plug for a year given the not-so-strong free agent pool this year.. then next year take that money and sign someone better long term..

Not really a huge issue but its a little slow around here and I figure we could use another enforcer thread as opposed to a line thread.

Anyways, Wings currently have a HUGE lead,almost 85% of the current votes, for the worst enforcing team in the league against Nashville, Phoenix, Tampa Bay and Carolina..

I am gonna say the number is slightly thrown off by the overwhelming Wings hatred that is found on Hockeyfights.com, but is it true? I know the Wings dont have any real "enforcers" but I don't think that they are the worst enforcing team in the league just because they have the least overall fights.. I mean it's not very often you would see this team get pushed around this year..

Anyways.. guess the only real questions are.. do you think it's true? And if it is, is it a huge concern going forward?

Did you know that, despite the fact Filppula has played second line (or even first line at times) for years now, Hudler has only four fewer points in his NHL career in 33 fewer games?

He scored ten points in his first 33 games this season, and he scored 23 points in his last 33 games.

For your information, I did know that. I was referring to this season, ya know, the one where Modano played for the WIngs. Since this thread is kinda supposed to be about him..

If you wanna base the argument on career numbers than I would have to say that Modano deserved a spot on the team above quite a few guys.

Okay, good news. Everything is going to be okay.. my Datsyuk "Dangle Dangle" LGW shirt finally arrived today so the Wings will be fine now!  

A beaten down Kings team managed to light Niemi up, the Wings can barely come up with 2 goals on him in 2 games. I'm gonna try to avoid any sort of panic mode until I see the result of game 3, but you would reallyf****** think the Wings would eventually get tired of being embarassed by a bunch of supposed playoff chokers.  

I'm not sure what his name is and I don't have the time/give-a-damn to look up his name, but we all know Boston's TV announcer to be one of the worst EVER. The often over-dramatic, always ignorant homer is laughable to hear in the background of Bruins highlights. But it gets worse....

Also, he looks like a much bigger weasel than his voice suggests.

I literally watched that 3 times.. and I have still got no idea what he was talking about.  

Hart Trophy: Darren Helm. (I only sway towards Helm instead of Dats because really Dats was expected to be the force in this series with Z out, but I dont think anyone expected Helm to dominate the entire Coyotes team like he did.)
