I just want to point out that Dan Cleary has been scratched from the lineup for the last seven games. We have also gone 5-1-1 in that time. Coincidence? I think not. OK, I'm done strumming my one-stringed guitar.

We aren't making a trade. We don't have expendable assets, it's that simple.

We don't have them, or you personally wouldn't want to move them?

I'm glad, when I found out the games would be hosted in South Korea I shook my head.

What's wrong with South Korea?

Speaking of, I wonder if they'll introduce Starcraft 2 in the 2018 Olympics

#2481865 Glendening vs Andersson

Posted by dirtydangles on 06 February 2014 - 08:01 PM

Skating- Andersson Both have similar top end speed, Andersson has better acceleration and agility.

Faceoffs- Andersson Glendening is still learning after being a winger for most of his hockey career and should get better, but might and should doesn't get you much.

Offensive awareness Andersson Neither have lit it up, but Andersson at least has 13 points.  Glendening gets less TOI a game and hasn't played with many quality line mates but he should have more than 4 assists at this point.

Defensive awareness-push  neither are Selke candidates, but both are solid defensive forwards

Grit-Glendening Andersson is about as gritty as a marshmallow while Glendening is at least willing to get in peoples' faces.

You can't be serious - Andersson has Bert speed.

#2478836 Trade deadline fast approaching - who should we target?

Posted by Internet.Unknown on 29 January 2014 - 09:33 PM

A top 4 defencemen, the wings have plenty of forwards to move. Obviously LGWs totally overvalues our s*** but players like andersson or tartar have value.

Tatar is one of the young guys I wouldn't want to trade. I would keep him over Nyquist, though I like both players.

#2476179 Turning point!?!?!

Posted by GMRwings1983 on 22 January 2014 - 11:24 PM

I want to see them putting a few games together where they play really hard.  No more games like that St. Louis no show.

The talent is not in the lineup, but that's no excuse not to play hard every game.  Today, they played really hard.  Last game, they didn't.  To me, that's more important than who is or isn't in the lineup.  I've seen them take too many games off the last few years even when healthy.

Obviously this is for showcasing purposes. I'd say Yakupov is as good as ours.

#2460192 Weiss

Posted by Crymson on 02 December 2013 - 05:00 PM

Weiss #90 suits him, he's playing like a 90 year old out there.. geez i would blow him away with hustle speed shot you name it. I'm baffled as to how this guy ever got a 4+m contract for 5 years. HOW?!?! Watch Datsyuk come back and Andersson get shafted cause of Weiss.

He got that contract based on his history. He had been a very effective player for a long time. Every analyst touted the contract given to him. Unfortunately, he has been inexplicably awful.

Weiss is playing on the 4th line, and Andersson is a mainstay on the penalty kill. It'll be Samuelsson or (more likely) Cleary who'll get the boot when Datsyuk returns.

#2458011 I'd like to talk about this off-season/next season

Don't think Bert will be asked back. Only free agent of ours who will be back is Ericsson.

Wanna bet?
