That's not to diminish nestrasil either, Cuz he's not a bad third liner, he seems snake bitten too, and his positioning is pretty damn good too but Jurco seems like a larger part of our future than him, and if he develops good chemistry with helm then our third line could be dominate once he gets going.
Tonight on that wraparound attempt from helm, where Jurco drew the hooking call, they just played off each other really well...
But then again so did nestrasil, you can see him lurking up ready to jump in the play or fall back....theyre honestly not a bad checking line, they do a lot of good things together which will only get better the longer they're together.
Unfortunately they're not scoring, but Jurco hard in that sophomore slump, and being dominant in the ahl would probably do wonders for him.
Agreed. Man, that one sequence where Quick stood on his head... I would have loved to see one of them cash in. Totally agree that Jurco has a way higher ceiling... just need to get him going.
This is all nonsense. Our team is good. Bruins and Ducks are 2 of best 5 teams in the league. And we are going toe to toe with them without 2 of our 5 highest paid players. We are going to be a good threat this year. Oddsmakers have us at 17-1.
It's not about honor it's about longterm success, getting ahead of an already better competition. Whoever gets McEichel will have a franchise player for at least a decade and a half.
This same strategy has worked out great for Edmonton
Watched some on TV. Was seriously a joke, worse turnout I've ever seen at a major sporting event, including preseason games. It was just a sea of empty seats. Team obviously needs to be moved and rebranded. One hockey team for Florida is enough.
Here's what you do (Bettman)... move Florida to whichever Eastern Canadian city you want to grace with a team (Hamilton, Quebec City, etc.), redraw the divisions, and expand two teams.
Metropolitan (almost all of these teams are near the Atlantic)--> Atlantic: Carolina, New Jersey, New York Islanders, New York Rangers, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Tampa Bay, Washington
Atlantic (only one team is actually on the Atlantic)--> Northeast: Boston, Buffalo, Detroit, Columbus, Hamilton/Quebec City, Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto,
Midwest: Chicago, Colorado, Dallas, Minnesota, Nashville, Saskatoon/Kansas City, St. Louis, Winnepeg
Pacific: Anaheim, Calgary, Edmonton, Los Angeles, Pheonix, San Jose, Seattle, Vancouver
