the whole idea behind wearing white at home is to draw the colors from other teams in for the fans. face it, if your a islanders fan, and they wear colors at home...everyone comes in wearing white. no fun.

my take was that we needed to hit up the ole' " offer sheet on evander kane, kyle turris, etc...) and lose the draft picks.

that is a retool idea that carries water. we have lots of talent coming up from the griffins in the next 3-5 years. establishing the next core is important to do now!

the trade front is drying up, our used parts are great, but not worth much out in trade. UFA and offer sheets are the next best thing.

when was the last notable trade for the wings? Lang? seems like the other owners are done with us, so why worry about making them mad?

hell, we had to go through yzerman to get quincey...i dont think the other 29 teams are going to help us until we have 20 year olds to sell.

Unless he's terrible during the preseason, I think he needs to be on the big club from the start.  You can't take a 26 year old scoring champion of another league, that multiple teams wanted and put him in the minors.  That would really affect our ability to sign other players like this in the future knowing that they'll probably be sent to the AHL if they sign with Detroit.  I don't see a problem giving him at least 4th line minutes.

Conner in my opinion is a smaller Helm. he flies on the ice, agitates opponents, and goes way too fast for his own hands at the goal.

Additional dates from the leap year aside, the world won't end anyway.  The only thing that worries me about that date is all the lunatics in this world that might do something terrible and end up causing bodily harm.

there lies the real threat....no matter what happens....idiots will freak out and cause prices to skyrocket for fuel/water/bread...etc.

for example..the tv show "magic city" was building its set, they bought every sheet of plywood across 4 states. florida/georgia etc.

here in new mexico the shortage caused a $2 per sheet increase.
