#2460103 Weiss

Posted by luvmnger on 02 December 2013 - 11:13 AM

here here!

Personally, i think his confidence is just low right now. Hes disappointed he got injured when his game was coming on, hes disappointed hes not performing how the organization needs him to, and hes disappointed hes on the 4th line with dumb and dumber. Thatll kill anyones game IMHO.

If he plays with bert n Pasha on the top line for more than 3 games and produces nothing, then we can worry. But until hes given the top 6 role he knows and has thrived in, while being injury free and playing with the worlds best player, i wont rule him out.

Cmon Weisser!!

#2456652 Nyquist Getting the call

Posted by luvmnger on 22 November 2013 - 12:26 PM

i like cleary....but his days with us are done.

shanny moved on...cheli moved on...holmstrom retired.

they all saw the writing on the wall and know its business.

not personal.

when you sign a guy for the "personal" in mind....you have lost touch with the business.

#2439403 9/27 Pre-Season GDT : Maple Leafs 2 at Red Wings 5

Posted by luvmnger on 27 September 2013 - 07:40 PM

Hopefully they'll have some great hits and climb the charts.

ahh, i remember their first release..."what am i to you?"

followed up by the ballad..." nobody likes me"

that ones got legs early this year.

#2438925 Pro-Bruins "writer" article on Wings

Posted by luvmnger on 25 September 2013 - 01:41 PM

all i got out of that was...."we are scared to death that now we have finally reached the top of the east...the wings are going to knock us down a few notches"

"thanks west for sending your best"

detroit chicago stanley cup....now no one in the east gets the "token" invite.

#2434759 Red Wings Goal song?

#2422610 Wings looking to trade before using buyouts

Posted by luvmnger on 27 June 2013 - 03:01 AM

trade emmerton, the rights to fil and the 3rd pick to winnipeg for burmistrov ( he is 21...its like a draft pick!)

sign weiss...kick the tires on a malone deal

lose bert, sammy, toots, cleary,colo,white

we still have abs, miller, eaves, helm to hit.

scour the buyouts for a defenceman that can hold down the 5-6-7spot

the last i looked...we lost to pitt=no scoring       ( im looking at you..hossa)

                                        to san jose=no scoring

                                        to nashville=no scoring

to chicago up 3-1 games= no scoring

i think the d was fine...it was the lack of something..something

the east is overrated about its toughness.

#2390419 Should I take an octopus to Dallas?

Posted by luvmnger on 26 April 2013 - 09:57 PM

i tossed a stuffed octopus my daughter gave me.... "one of her many animals" from the aquarium trips in phoenix last year.

the game where bertuzzi won the shootout with his patented spin backhanders.

well, i had it low, and when everyone erupted i threw it like a hand grenade and kept my hands up in celebration.

once the crowds started to head for the aisles i turned, started walking and removed the wings jersey and passed it off to the wife.

we split up and headed for the door. but...at the top of the stairs..security stopped us and accused my good friend of throwing a dead animal on the ice.

well, he had a field day with the 2 security guards and 4 cops that wanted to detain us. ( he loves conflict...especially when he was innocent)

so they claimed they had video of him throwing it...and we waited....and waited....and i asked one of the cops if i could go. sure enough...i walked outside to meet up with the wife.

5 minutes later my bud came out giggling like a school girl...he had read them the riot act and the cops got mad at the security guards on a power trip for wasting his time.

so all i can say to you is...prepare for the heat....have evasive manuevers planned....lose the jersey on the fly.

#2378427 Red Wings/ NHL April Fools

Posted by luvmnger on 01 April 2013 - 11:11 PM

Alexander Ovechkin traded to Red Wings for a signed Lions hat and the rights to Lidstroms jock strap.

( the hat is signed BY lidstroms jock strap..just so ya know.)

#2377439 Brunner hasn't hit the wall. He has slammed into it.

Posted by luvmnger on 31 March 2013 - 05:45 PM

1. i think he has been conditioned by the "no hit league" for too long.

2. the NHL has got a look at him and they play him close.

3. top it off with a dose of too many games in close quarters, and team lacking desire...

= "you get what we got here today, i dont like it any more than you like it"

off season conditioning...he will be up for it next year.

#2374281 burmistrov benching

Posted by luvmnger on 26 March 2013 - 09:31 AM

right now, we are in the worst place to be dealing for the playoffs.

the western teams dont want us better for competion...the east teams dont want us better for next year.

a deal with the jets is a unique one. we are switching sides and wont be rivals.

if ever a deal made sense...this should be it.

now we just need that passing specialist D-man!

#2369966 Quincey out tonight vs. Nucks

Posted by luvmnger on 16 March 2013 - 12:05 PM

i like quincey...i think he gets way too much heat for the defencive woes.

hope all is well in his melon.

white is back in?

#2367251 Wings and others after Perry....

Posted by luvmnger on 10 March 2013 - 02:50 AM

please no....100 other players before him.

if datsyuk has to fight him...you know he's a prick.

holland....focus on dekeyser. dont get blinded by the spotlight.

#2363282 Alexei Kovalev to be bought out but FLA

Posted by luvmnger on 01 March 2013 - 02:53 PM

stick a fork in him.

#2348281 Things that are better than the Wings special teams.

Posted by luvmnger on 28 January 2013 - 09:31 PM

i think the cover of "final countdown" takes the cake.

that was righteously better than the special teams.

#2338425 Breaking the bank for Pietrangelo next year?

Posted by luvmnger on 08 January 2013 - 05:27 AM

i am all in on the potential for oliver ekman larsson

he moves like rafalski. and stays calm like lidas.

just sayin....

coyotes have a habit of losing good players. hint hint
