Coming from the queen of bad arguments. Its okay, Cory. You probably won't get traded, anyway. Kenny loves his soft 4th liners. Don't expect to play in front of Tootoo, though.

Like is often the case, the only winners in this whole mess are the lawyers.

Restarting means firing the commissioner and the NHLPA heads. I would even like to see their deputies and counsel fired as well. You want to bring in a new method of thinking? Then you have to get rid of the existing bureaucracies.

I think I have a solution to the problem of Bettman's dictatorial powers... we should make him accountable to another larger group of people. He has too much power and needs to be held accountable. The group of people he is accountable to could be, oh I don't know... 30 people... kind of like one representative for each team in the league, what do you think? ......... ......... ......... ......... oh wait.

You're just derailing every thread you possibly can at this point. Emmerton is the most expendable. I'd like to see him traded for a legitimate 4th line center. Kyle Chipchura comes to mind.

    New CBA

One nhl governor submitted a version of his own CBA to Espn. No surprise it's essentially the compromise that we all expect should happen. The part of the article that pertains to the subject of this thread http://espn.go.com/blog/nhl/post/_/id/20739/rest-easy-weve-got-your-new-cba-right-here Notice that he said Jacobs, not Bettman.

Jake Patterson made the cut and will attend as one of three goalies. Ryan Sproul was one of the final cuts this evening on a very deep defense and he could have just as easily made it, so good for him. Which makes Oullett's inclusion as a lock in the top four quite impressive. Exciting. 2011 was a good drafting year for the Wings, picking up both Oullett and Sproul in the second round.

Chuck Norris should be called in as a mediator.

I guess I'm just showing my age, but I won't be too disappointed in leaving the Joe. I have some great memories of the games I saw there; the 1980 All Star game, the two Stanley Cups, all of the great players and seasons, (the place where I was a long time season ticket holder) which I will always be grateful to Mr. Ilitch for putting together. But the atmosphere of the Olympia, even with the bad Wings' teams of the late 70s, was great. For those who enjoy the sight lines of the Joe, you would've loved Olympia. Yes, there were obstructed views in spots, but you were right on top of the action, in both the Arena and Mezzanine seats. The sight lines were fantastic. So here's hoping to a modern new building, with the "retro" look. I do hope that the outside resembles the old Olympia, the Joe always looked like a warehouse to me.
