theman19 47 Report post Posted October 12, 2005 that's like asking if the yankees and the red sox will remain heated. As long as we keep playing them it'll remain heated.
CelticWing34 0 Report post Posted October 15, 2005 Heated, yes. As heated as before, no. (Duh).
Cujosmydawg 0 Report post Posted October 15, 2005 Heated, yes. As heated as before, no. (Duh). I'm with you. The natural passion will always be there. The absolute hatred I'm not so sure about.

McVogel91 0 Report post Posted October 17, 2005 This rivalry will be more tame than in the past. Guys like Foote, Forsberg, Lemieux and McCarty are gone, plus, this isn't a mash em and bash em NHL anymore. This league is about smarts now.
shannyfan_14 0 Report post Posted October 23, 2005 yes, there is still a rivalry between the teams. is it as heated....no. i live in colorado and i can tell you from personal experience that the rivalry is very much alive. my friendly challenge to any who doubt is to wear a wings jersey to an avs game...or in one case, grocery shopping....yes, i got those three words while picking out an onion. -shanny
fightfan24 0 Report post Posted October 23, 2005 They are one brawl filled night away from rekindling the hatred, so no it won't revive... Not with our roster...
Abyss 0 Report post Posted October 29, 2005 I think things will get heated again especially if we go after Hinote as payback for taking out Kronwell btw i still hate them even if Roy is not there anymore especially there announcers on Altitude!
NeverForgetMac25 483 Report post Posted October 31, 2005 Heated, Yes. But not as it used to be.
RedWingsRule! 0 Report post Posted November 2, 2005 It better, I am going to the game in Colorado on the 21st of January. I have great seats and plan to yell very loudly with my Wings clothing, jacket, and hat on! GO WINGS!
vladdy16 2,154 Report post Posted November 9, 2005 Hockey fans never let any rivlary die. When was the last time Chicago or Toronto were truly competitive with us, yet we'd kill to meet Toronto in the SCF and it's still fun to abuse Chicago fans, even though it's starting to look like kicking a puppy. Vincanni 1 Report post Posted November 10, 2005 As long as we're both top teams in the league (Or at least as long as one of us is a top team) there will always be a hatred amongst the two teams even if it's not felt on the ice it's felt in a majority of the fans. Granted Vancouver is in many ways stealing the thunder from our rivalry if you ask me, though they've yet to really meet in the playoffs.
NeverForgetMac25 483 Report post Posted November 11, 2005 I am excited to see this rivalry again soon. It's been too long.
DaKineMaui 8 Report post Posted November 17, 2005 I'm with you. The natural passion will always be there. The absolute hatred I'm not so sure about. There never was any "natural passion" in my view. Some expansion team moved to an expansion city doesn't really get it for me. Cheap shot here and there at best. ESPN had a blast with it I guess.....I'd rather watch the Wings play a number of other teams - reg season or otherwise. aloha
thirteen_89 0 Report post Posted November 23, 2005 any kind of rival with the wings is awesome
Seth 0 Report post Posted November 24, 2005 no way the riveraly is nearly what is was during the Claude era. We have a new one in the making though with the Preds and perhaps Hawks.
