detroitballer 0 Report post Posted July 27, 2006 I heard a rumor today on XM radio that said Detroit would send Lang, Hudler, and a 2nd round pick for Biron, and Afinogenov. I dont know if there's any truth to it or not but this is a deal i would make, after seeing how much Afinogenov would get from arbitration. It also said Afinogenov will likley have to go becasue all indications are that the Sabers will take Briere's 5 million dollar deal. So take it or leave it. cap20066 0 Report post Posted July 27, 2006 I don't like the 2nd rounder, but Lang and Hudler for Biron and Afi straight up doesn't seem fair; i guess i'd take it.. but i wouldn't be ecstatic about it by any means.

WhiteLightning91 105 Report post Posted July 27, 2006 No...Unless it is at the deadline. I am not ready to give up on Hudler or our goaltending until I see them actually play a decent amount of games.

Guest EZBAKETHAGANGSTA Report post Posted July 27, 2006 Heh this trade would be dreamy if Hudler and 2cd rounder could get replaced by Liv, Flipula, 4th rounder
silkyjohnson13 0 Report post Posted July 27, 2006 Heh this trade would be dreamy if Hudler and 2cd rounder could get replaced by Liv, Flipula, 4th rounder I don't see why everybody is so up in arms about Hudler. Personally, i don't see him a great NHLer. He's small, slow, and weak, and quite frankly, unless you have the vision/playmaking ability of Pavel Datsyuk, you can only go so far. And from what i've seen, Hudler isn't even close to the talent that Pavel is. Filpula, on the other hand, is a good complete hockey player. He's smart, good defensively, and is talented enough to play on a top 2 line. Between him and Hudler, Filpula will be the one wearing the winged-wheel for years to come. wingsfan27 1 Report post Posted July 27, 2006 they wanna get rid of afinogenov cause of his potential salary but theyll take in lang's 3.8 million ......yaaaaaaa makes sense lol
SwedeLundin77 460 Report post Posted July 28, 2006 If it's on XM it's from Eklund, and if it's from Eklund it's false or at least the players are all scrambled up at best. I can see Biron and Afinogenov coming to Detroit, but not for Lang, Hudler, and a 2nd rounder, they'd be taking on Lang's 3.8 million to get rid of a guy who will make about the same amount possibly??? Doesn't make sense... If we're doing this deal it'll be Hudler, Lilja, and a 3rd rounder at most for those two.

wingsdiehard13 33 Report post Posted July 28, 2006 Dont get me wrong I think Lang is as lazy as the next person but we can't afford to lose another 20 goal scorer and a power forward
