Wings talking to Panthers

The Red Wings are just interested in Erat, Hartnell (top target), and Bondra.

There was talk that the Red Wings were talking to the Panthers. The Panthers like Dats, and the Red Wings have put him on the block. I just can't into detail, but maybe you guys will figure it out. I'll report it later on in the Insider Forum.

Maybe Keenan didn't like Dats and thats why the Luongo trade never went through. With Keenan out of the picture, could a Dats for Bertuzzi deal be brewing?

I'm not sure that I'd place too much faith in this rumor, but if it went down then I think the top 2 lines would look more like this:

Hudler - Zetterberg - Bertuzzi

Samuelsson - Lang - Williams

I would consider trading Dats for Jokinen, though.

Jokinen is bigger and can play both wings as well as center. Of course, that might also be a reason for Florida to trade for Dats:

Dunno what the Wings would be getting in return, but that could be a pretty formidable line for Florida.

Not to be a smart alec or anything but isn't Horton a Right Wing? Also I don't think Datsyuk would get Bertuzzi. Bertuzzi is one of the top power forwards in the game. He just needs to get over that mental hump and he'll be back to his old form.

i just don't see why florida would trade a player they recieved so much flak for trading for in the first place. I understand it's a new gm but i think another player outside of bert would be more likely to go.

I said I had a dream that he was on our team. I didn't say I wanted him or thought he'd be a good fit for the Wings.

I cannot stand Bertuzzi, but I dislike Hartnell so much more because of his intent to constantly injure players and take them out of the line up for months. He is by far the most dirty, scum bag, player in the NHL. Of course Bertuzzi has has done much worse *the moore incident, among a few other things*, but at LEAST he could play and is good for something and has talent. Not that'd I'd ever want him on the Wings but i'm just sayin..

Holland trading Datsyuk is as likely as Holland and Babcock moving to Massachuetts to get married. Not gonna happen, that would be a risky trade and Holland doesn't do anything remotely gutsy or risky, no way, never!

And also...it was a Chicago/Florida game...what makes you so sure it's Florida? Why wouldn't they be looking at swapping Joey Macdonald for one of Chicago's D or wing prospects?
