theman19 47 Report post Posted November 13, 2006 I really love how no one thinks carolina can make it back to the finals, not much on this team has changed and they're playing dominating hockey as of late without two of there best players. You really can't say how much of a difference scott walker has made to that line up. Mark my words and you heard it here first, When stillman and kaberle come back this team will be a force. If it was a few lucky bounces i'd understand but a team hasn't put up more than 25 shots on us in quite a while. If we get a decent right wing there's just as much possiblity as us winning as any of the other elite teams of the west (and yes where an elite team if we keep playing D like this. It's not about the hot streak, rather its about how the Wings are winning. The way the Defense is destroying the opposition, and the solid 5-on-5 play, the Wings are very scary right now. Look at how poorly the Wings PP is going right now. Imagine when the Wings get that rolling, and then add a scoring Winger (possibly 2 depending on cap room) at the deadline. They're a solid team, and they are starting to truly buy into Babs' system. All that put together, and we look very tough once the playoffs roll around.
