betterREDthandead 58 Report post Posted November 3, 2006 I think you might have just posted the new official Favorite Link Ever, not to mention set off another round of "bag of pucks" jokes. Wonder if this is a new development based on Quincey's play these past couple games?

Guest EZBAKETHAGANGSTA Report post Posted November 4, 2006 oh please oh please.....him and Norton for something to get Pavel and Hank scoring again. Lilija and norton combined could get the equivalant of boyd devauroux or TWO BAGS OF PUCKS
eva unit zero 271 Report post Posted November 5, 2006 Lilja, despite all the bashing he takes on here, actually seems to have built a decent rep around the league from his play last season. [/font] He could probably get us a second or third round pick or a moderate prospect.
Howe's Bony Elbow 0 Report post Posted November 6, 2006 Detroit's looking to move Lilja? Lilja can't even move Lilja -- talk about slow-footed. Don't see why anyone would want him at his pricetag -- especially in that rumoured trade for Forsberg.

SwedeLundin77 460 Report post Posted November 6, 2006 Lilja gets too much crap around here. Other than the fact that he isn't the fastest guy out there, he is a soild stay at home defensemen, who proved last season that he is just that. His +/- was very good and that is a strong reflection of how well he does his job. I am not big on Lilja, don't get me wrong, if we can move him, that's cool, cause we can at least get a draft pick for him and our drafting is sweet so I'm sure we'd put it to good use. I would like to see Quincey up here, but more than likely, Chelios is feeling good and can play full-time, and Lebda is ready for full-time duties as well. We don't need a seventh d-man necessarily and if we were to use anyone, we could try Norton as the 7th man, because we want Quincey to get as much ice-time as possible, and that may not be possible until next season. Or Lilja for Jonsson/pick? Then we could make Jonsson our 7th d-man and let Norton stay in GR or walk.

Jonsson has potential and it would be a shame to waste him when he could develop.

eva unit zero 271 Report post Posted November 10, 2006 Hmmm and who or what would we get back in the trade?? Most of Lilja's million in cap space. Plus, it would open up the 7th d-man spot--which could be used to keep Norton on the roster for all the grit slappies.
betterREDthandead 58 Report post Posted November 10, 2006 Hmmm and who or what would we get back in the trade?? Draft pick. Anywhere from a 3rd to a 6th depending on how desperate the other team is for a d-man.
GuloGulo 0 Report post Posted November 11, 2006 we move lilja only if we can get Quincey up and at guaranteed NHL level play. You don't want to fool around with depleted D-corps when injury strikes. Lilja is mediocre but good enough to jump in case of injuries. A draft pick is fine and all, but it can't play games until it's materialised as a full blown NHL guy. Andy Pred 48 337 Report post Posted November 12, 2006 Is Dan Smith capable of coming in for a few games if needed? He has some size and a few NHL games under his belt would he be any better than Lilja/Norton?, I see he is a +8 for the 22 games he has played in the show. I would like to see Quincey as our 7th D if it happens. Keep an eye on the young kid Ericsson at GR. Leads them in +- rating in his rookie eason so far. Has started to fill out a bit too, 6'5" 218lb could be another sleeper we've picked up. 9th R 291 OA.
