royedwards 0 Report post Posted February 9, 2007 The hockey gods had a hand in this one. Three freaking posts. As for losing to the Blues, has anyone noticed that they have beat us three times already this season? Their secret weapon: play hard the whole game through. haroldsnepsts 4,826 Report post Posted February 9, 2007 (edited) To keep me from having to wade through 20+ pages of the GDT, can someone tell me how the Ferret had 10 saves and got third star of the game, with Sanford getting 13? who started? did one of them get hurt or something? Heroes of Hockeytown 694 Report post Posted February 9, 2007 Homer got shoved into Legace. He jumped right over him, so Manny must've got wacked in the head by the Blues Dman.
HockeyCrazy3033 168 Report post Posted February 9, 2007 Are you freaking kidding me? Joey wasn't a star of the game! 30 freaking saves and about 15 of them were great and he doesn't get any recognition for it? Yet Manny gets 3rd star for 10 freaking saves? Wowza. puckloo39 5,686 Report post Posted February 9, 2007 Honestly, who cares about the shutout streak. Its just incredibly sick the way this thing panned out. Nothing went the Wings way. Joey looked more like Hasek out there and the lone goal scored was by Chelios..on Joey. Joey's biggest fan is Dom, from what I've read. I think that is very special, that Hasek has taken an interest in him. Joey's got nothing to feel bad about at all... It's been a long time since I've seen the Wings so thoroughly shut down by another team, and I for one don't think the Blues suck at all. I can't stand them - UpChuck, Googles Guerin, Jackman... I could go on and on. That's why I am mad, the Wings let them have their way and didn't answer even once? I am perplexed.

Well to sum it up, they felt bad for leggy for getting a little boo boo and BAM gave him third star.. When joey mac worked his ass off and his team mates just couldn't score a goal for him

Wings fans need to stop bashing them after every freaking loss even when they just had a 5 game winning streak.

Heroes of Hockeytown 694 Report post Posted February 9, 2007 Well, honestly, I don't think luck had anything to do with it. Did they have a couple posts? Yes. But that was in the one or two flurries they had all night. They were pretty awful, for whatever reason. Even when they were getting messed around by the New York clubs through forty in their buildings, they looked better. If they had won, it would've been through their superior talent, but nothing resembling hard work. Anywho, it was just an off-night. Win five, lost three, win five... and now we're back on the other side of the column...

He gets a shutout..WOOO. his helmet got knocked off and it looked he might have smacked his head on the ice. didn't look like much, but it doesn't take much when it's a bare head against the ice. but, then again, it's manny... Oh I definitely agree that the Wings got outplayed tonight, but their luck was really horrible tonight too. his helmet got knocked off and it looked he might have smacked his head on the ice. didn't look like much, but it doesn't take much when it's a bare head against the ice. but, then again, it's manny... See I just saw Homer jump OVER him. I didn't even see his head hit the ice. Then I thought that he had a concussion a few months ago so maybe even the slightest hit to his head triggered something. datsyukismyfriend 4 Report post Posted February 9, 2007 Oh I definitely agree that the Wings got outplayed tonight, but their luck was really horrible tonight too. they deserved the loss, though. the blues came out swinging. we should have had a couple i agree, but the blues could have had a whole lot more at the same time. so, maybe bad luck we were shut out, but not the loss. Yep, I agree with that. Luck as far as posts go and not getting at least one goal. I even said a few pages ago after the game that the Blues deserved the win. Wings were definitely outplayed. It's okay though..it's gonna happen from time to time.

datsyukismyfriend 4 Report post Posted February 9, 2007 (edited) not that i'm glad we lost, but in a way i am, the wings need to learn that they can't keep winning games by skipping out on the first two periods. It's okay though..it's gonna happen from time to time. yeah, and they just won five and gained quite a bit of ground the preds and ducks, so that's good. i just hope they don't lose three in a row again and lose all the ground they've made up the past few weeks. edit: wow, terrible spelling.
