Yeah, God forbid anyone attempt to check Yzerman without it being an attempt to end his career.

Gee, Pronger comes flying out of nowhere on a guy playing with one ok knee and another that is bone on bone...not too hard to imagine that if he lands that hit, Yzerman would have been done for. And Pronger ended up being the one done for, just like the Blues in that series.

I think Pronger is a top notch defenseman and typically not a dirty guy and I dont imagine his intent was to injure Yzerman with a hit, but Stevie probably wouldnt have just skated away from that one...and we're supposed to feel bad about Pronger getting hurt? I think we all felt bad in 98 when Pronger took a slapshot to chest and his heart stopped...this was different.

Understandable. I pretty much force myself to just stay here because I'll get involved with the converstations/arguments. I've kind of learned from experience.

Sure, making the playoffs was nice and there are some great memories...but nobody is upset about "the streak" being broken. Blues fans are actually pretty excited about the future with some good young talent on the club, some good young talent ready to come up next year, and a lot of draft picks this year.

The future looks good if they can draft well this year.

And you laugh at the Blues not making the playoffs for two straight years...
