redwingfan19 293 Report post Posted March 2, 2007 I noticed the other night that Hasek made a save and he got up a bit awkward. Don't know if that had anything to do with it but I hope this is just minor.

Icer 0 Report post Posted March 2, 2007 "I had a little bit of tightness after the game against Chicago (Tuesday) and yesterday at practice," Hasek said. "There's a bit of tightness in my thigh and the trainers said it would be good to stay off the ice. This sounds pretty normal. I'm the same age as Dom and I have tightness in every muscle in my body whenever I play.

Guest GodofHockeyStevieY19 Report post Posted March 2, 2007 Thank God its only a few games. But damn, I never feel comfortable with Ozzie back there. I actually would much rather see Jimmy Howard get some more nhl experience. Hopefully Babcock feels the same way.
KronwallCRUNCH 5 Report post Posted March 2, 2007 No biggie, Ozzie is a capable tender, and the Hawks and Avs suck...We'll be fine.
Icer 0 Report post Posted March 2, 2007 will he be backing up ? or ... Read the article. Howard was called up from GR to back Osgood.
BuckeyeWingsfan80 209 Report post Posted March 2, 2007 No biggie, Ozzie is a capable tender, and the Hawks and Avs suck...We'll be fine. Exactly. It's March 2nd, not April 2nd. I'd be worried if Hasek isn't back in a couple weeks. But at this time, let him rest and don't rush him back.
Kp-Wings 3 Report post Posted March 2, 2007 Well guys, everything discussed in the Howard topic will now be put to test in the next few days. In all honesty, and nothing against either of these guys, but a Osgood/Howard tandem really doesn't appeal to me. I just hope Hasek isn't gone too long. edicius 3,269 Report post Posted March 2, 2007 Let's get the injury bug out of the way NOW, instead of in April. It's not like this is happening early in the season either where it can really derail a team. We're in pretty good position right now and it would take a major meltdown (and major kick-assedness from the other teams) to throw us under an 8th seed so honestly, I'm not worried. Guest Crymson Report post Posted March 2, 2007 (edited) Uh oh I hope that "thigh" isn't a code word for "groin" Wrong side of the leg, my man. The thigh works into a joint, and does not have much capacity for strain. Likely, Dom's thigh is either bruised or generally sore from falling on it whilst making a save. EDIT: I think we can take Chicago and Colorado without too much help. Please don't figuratively crucify me, but I'd like to see Howard start tonight. Bryguy 103 Report post Posted March 2, 2007 Im not worried, if the wings play like they did against the hawks last time. We should be good to go. Filp-Datsyuk-Homer Calder-Lang-Franzen FTW!!!!

HockeyCrazy3033 168 Report post Posted March 2, 2007 Don't worry. It's better now than later. Let the guy get some rest. He should be getting rest anyway! So he can be ready for when it really matters. I've got all the faith in the world in Oz. He will shut them Hawks and Avs down!
Guest Crymson Report post Posted March 2, 2007 (edited) Damn, we should have picked up Belfour! AHAHH... AHAHAHAHA!!! This is getting ridiculous. You want ridiculous? See Buffalo. Let's get the injury bug out of the way NOW, instead of in April. It's not like this is happening early in the season either where it can really derail a team. We're in pretty good position right now and it would take a major meltdown (and major kick-assedness from the other teams) to throw us under an 8th seed so honestly, I'm not worried. I like your perspective on this! Edited March 2, 2007 by Crymson
Kp-Wings 3 Report post Posted March 2, 2007 I wouldn't mind Howard getting the start tonight, or Sunday. Since we have him up, and neither of the teams we play are powerhouse teams, or hardly even respectable for that matter, we might as well give him a shot.
