YoungGuns1340 1 Report post Posted March 11, 2007 People were bitching about the officiating IN THE GAME TODAY, so I didnt realize that offering a dissenting opinion was off limits. Is this thread limited to 20 people simultaneously announcing the occurance of any goal or penalty? Apparently you dont realize that Bettman's only goal is to give the Red Wings handouts. In fact, actually, his goal is to make the league as competitive as possible and get fans for as many small-market teams as possible. THAT argument bodes just as well when the Red Wings get screwed over in games when the opponents are undoubtedly either floundering in the standings or trying to make the playoffs. Mark THS 2 Report post Posted March 11, 2007 All divergent opinions must be obliterated. Value on personal opinion suggests compliance to the archaic individualistic, capitalistic style of thought.
Guest Crymson Report post Posted March 11, 2007 Used to be one of the best goalies in the league. You don't think the defense has helped him all year? Look at his save percentage. Not exactly good. He also gets less shots on him. Those that do get through are frequently good. You want Osgood? He has the same defense, and he gets frequently slapped around. Do you watch Red Wings games? Have you seen Hasek make incredible saves on a regular basis? No and no? Thought so.

Vincanni 1 Report post Posted March 11, 2007 And yes Hasek is playing pretty badly tonight, as well as our whole team. Tthough if there's one thing I do know of Hasek is that he's harder on himself then any of the posters here. He also has more shut outs following bad games than just about anyone so, fret not. He'll take this bad game as a chance to shut the door on Nashville.

Is this thread limited to 20 people simultaneously announcing the occurance of any goal or penalty? Right. so why not say that you think the officiating wasn't as bad as some are making it out to be, instead of picking fights with people here? It's not the dissenting opinion that gets old, it's the way you bash others as you make it.
YoungGuns1340 1 Report post Posted March 11, 2007 NOBODY in this game played well except for Hudler.

Saran 1 Report post Posted March 11, 2007 Man was this game just disgusting to watch today. Ugly bounces going against us all game but Dom still looks kinda slow in goal. THAT argument bodes just as well when the Red Wings get screwed over in games when the opponents are undoubtedly either floundering in the standings or trying to make the playoffs. You know, I wasn't very into sporting conspiracy theories like this until I saw last year's NBA finals. The Heat, and Dwyane Wade in particular, got so many LUDICROUS calls in their favor that I was virtually beside myself. I do believe the Heat took almost twice as many free throws as did the Mavs. As a result, Wade averaged some 18 points on free throws PER GAME. That equalled more than half of his total points, IIRC. And, of course, Stern looked like he was about to ejaculate when he came out to present Wade with the MVP. I wouldn't be AT ALL surprised were Bettman attempting to emulate this. Do you actually take yourself seriously? Yes, because I clearly stated that there is a conspiracy against the Red Wings. Do yourself a favor and try and actually have a debate without going to extremes to justify your opinions and bashing entire groups of people while you're doing it.
