Okay, now that the Wings established that they are awake and not going to take any crap I think it's time they showed they can score. :)

yeah just a minor fact we might need to achieve

The intermission dudes suck too--one of them said Niedermier (sp) deserves the norris over nick. WTF?

It's not even close.

ANDREAS LILJA, I LOVE YOU!!!!

That's what I'm talking about baby!! This is why I always ranted on the guy. He's a big boy and he never stood up for himself and fought. Now FINALLY he has! Maybe this will up his game. The Wings playing physical against the Ducks is saying A LOT! This is freaking great. Gives me the goosebumps! See how Schneids stuck up for Sammy and Calds. THAT IS ALL ABOUT TEAM! This is what we need heading into the playoffs!

Lilja fighting in the playoffs would make my day. Sammy and Schnieds were making it known were not taking The Ducks s*** tonight.

BTW , Kyle has joined the Red Wave is hilarious

I don't know that I love him ;) , but Lilja has a knack for stepping up just enough at just the right time, to keep me hoping he's useful. I am hoping the Wings finally watched enough tape or something to see that they are throwing away opportunities. Good to see them try and pick it up in the stretch, and play like a playoff team. Bert is the man, and so is Schneider. And ok, so it Leeelya. :hehe:

Did I see this correctly. Lilja has played more than Lidstrom? (7:45 for lilja to lidstrom's 6:27)

Yeah. lol

and Lilja even played more than Niedermayer.

Only Pronger had more ice time than Lilja after 1.

How about Sammy. Holy crap I thought that was Markov for a sec but after rewatching it it turned out to be Sammy and man was he giving it to somebody, I think it was Beauchemin.

I thought that was Markov too! Didn't realize it wasn't until you just mentioned it now.

I gotta say. MUCH more emotion than Ive ever seen the Wings give. And in the FIRST PERIOD too! I think I even saw Lang go in there and do some roughing up.

And Lilja didnt get his butt kicked. He did pretty good for squaring off with a guy that fights on a regular basis.

If only we could translate that emotion into some goals. This one goal a game crap is getting old--last game was like an offensive breakout compared to the previous 3.

One thing I don't get folks...

It's called Hockeytown, the team is very successful, but why all these empty seats all the time (even on Steve Yzerman night and during the playoffs) ???

topic has been beaten to death... but, businesses buy season tickets, season ticket holders cant go to every game... hence empty seats

Yeah - everytime I see all those empty seats, it drives me crazy. The title "Hockeytown" is becoming an embarasment.

There may be empty seats, but these last two games, the crowd has been totally into it. Which I am totally happy to see!!!

PROPS GO OUT TO THE FOLLOWING:

Matty Schnieder. That entire scrum happened because Schnides went in and gave a shot to Niedermayer for that hit, which wasn't all that bad of a hit IMO. Anyway, i've said it before, for all the flak Matty gets, he's consistently the only guy on this team that sticks up for anybody even though he doesn't drop the gloves..

It was as the period expired, there was no time left, so no reason to lay the hit on.

Lilja: As a self-proclaimed expert in fighting :D my analysis is as follows: Lilja had 1 decent right hand, I believe it was the 3rd punch he threw that knocked Moen off stride a bit and knocked his helmet up off his head. Moen, the much better and experienced fighter just missed with a haymaking right and Lilja went down under the punch. Had Lilly not slipped he'd have caught that right hand straight in the chops I think. Anyway, Moen has him down, can't do to much to him as Lilly is about to flip him over on one leg so Moen gives him a couple light noogies. No damage done by either fighter..............................SO, LILJA GETS THE WIN!!!!! j/k, but he gets major props for stepping up to the plate.

and lastly:

How about Sammy. Holy crap I thought that was Markov for a sec but after rewatching it it turned out to be Sammy and man was he giving it to somebody, I think it was Beauchemin.

Good for us for sticking together and good for Schneider. He always seems to get his nose dirty which is why I always stick up for him.

HELL YES! GO LILS! GO SAMMY! GO SCHNEIDS!

It's amazing how us Wings fans get SO excited over this eh? This is EXACTLY what they have been lacking! If they always played like this it would make the team so much better as in toughness and not constantly being taken advantage of . WINGS WILL NOT BE MESSED WITH ANYMORE.

:P

Oh, this commercial is always rich.. it's almost comical how they expect these commercial to recruit people into the Marines to go to Iraq, then to be exploited and spent irresponsibly, forced to stay for tours of duty in excess of their committment, then released into a shoddy and wholly insufficient veterans` benefits system when they're finally allowed--or forced by injury--to leave the armed forces.

Insulting, actually.

Anyhow.. what about that shot by Datsyuk? WOW!
