Schneider Out tonight 4/3

Well that's good, just give him some rest.

As fo the Hank situation. I don't think he should be rushed back. I mean I'd love for him to play at least one game of the next three to see how he looks out there, but the playoffs are much more important. I just don't want it to be where he comes back and is rusty and won't get things going for awhile..but then again we are talking about Henrik Zetterberg here.

Babcock states it's not important for him to go tonight

- hey, Matty, take your wife and kids to Wallmart tonight, we'll make it without you!

- thanks coach. wanna me to fetch a 6-pack of some German beer?

- sure, Matty. Heineken will do good for me.

- no problem, coach. will bring you them for tomorrow practice.

- sure. now move!

- aye!

I would prefer it Hank come back by Thursday. I mean, I don't want to rush him or anything, but at the same time I don't want him to be totally out of shape come playoff time. Remember last year Datsyuk didn't play for about a few weeks until Game 2, and it was noticed in his play.

In another sense, I guess it's fine though. He could always use the extra rest.

Forward Henrik Zetterberg won't play tonight against Columbus because of his inflamed disk, although defenseman Nicklas Lidstrom will likely return from a lower back strain. Zetterberg hopes to be in the lineup this week when the Wings finish the regular season with a home-and-home with Chicago. - Detroit Free Press

I hope hank gets a couple of games too, just to get back into the swing of things. But Henrik Zetterberg is THE MAIN MAN! :D He will be ready even if he doesn't. :P

This is different. Last year, Datsyuk never even got a practice or skate in before Game 2. Zetterberg has been doing that for a couple weeks now. It's just a matter of getting some consistency of how his back feels from day to day. One day it feels good, the next not so good. that's the problem right now.

Yep, I bet your right

that would make sense since mike said it wasn't important for him to be in the game tonight.

i dont think of coaches saying that even if a team has a spot clinched in the play-offs.

i mean the Wings DO hhave something to play for all the way through the rest of the season.

and i did not know that he was a Jew.

Schneider isn't a Jewish name,

is it?
