Hockeytown0001 7,652 Report post Posted April 6, 2007 Allright, this may have been already beat to death in the GDT, but I haven't seen Bertuzzi for a while now. Is he not playing? Is he hurt? What's the deal?

winsgnut_19 0 Report post Posted April 6, 2007 ANYONE? left the game with a neck sprain... announcers said he would not return....
Hockey13Playa 240 Report post Posted April 6, 2007 yeah as just stated above, he just has a minor neck strain, from the collide with Osgood. Just out for the rest of the game.
daniel1 32 Report post Posted April 6, 2007 Well, I do know he was in a collision with Osgood, and hit the ice pretty hard after he hit Osgood too. I think he only played one shift after that. No shifts in the third at all. It's the Chicago feed on CI tonight so needless to say they're really not "all over it".

Heroes of Hockeytown 694 Report post Posted April 6, 2007 Did it sound serious? Does anyone know how serious that kind of injury is? I second this inquiry. What the hell is a neck strain, and should we be worried about it?

puckloo39 5,686 Report post Posted April 6, 2007 Babs just said he's going to be fine. I guess we'll know for sure tomorrow. thanks for the report, HC. Did he say if Ozzie's OK? That had to hurt to be bowled over by Big Bert.
Echolalia 2,961 Report post Posted April 6, 2007 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strain_%28injury%29 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whiplash_%28medicine%29 He should be fine. Someone said above me that he does have a week of rest to work out any kinks.
HockeyCrazy3033 168 Report post Posted April 6, 2007 thanks for the report, HC. Did he say if Ozzie's OK? That had to hurt to be bowled over by Big Bert. No prob. Ozzie was a little shaken up but is also fine.
maltbyrocks18 0 Report post Posted April 6, 2007 Bert will be fine im sure. That guy is a beast. the ice probably cracked a little when he made contact with it but im sure they can fix that too so its all good.
SwedeLundin77 460 Report post Posted April 6, 2007 It's just precautionary, the last thing they want are any of their big name players being majorly injured right now.... He probably could have played the rest of the game, they just didn't want to chance anything. I wouldn't doubt seeing him in the last game on Saturday. HockeyCrazy3033 168 Report post Posted April 6, 2007 Can we just forgo the last game, hope Anaheim wins all their games, and face Minny in the playoffs? Please? Do not fear the Flames!! Have some faith. I'd rather play a very tough team in the first round so the Wings won't take em lightly.

I totally agree on that. The fact that the flames beat them just last year will make the wings more motivated than if the they play a team they expect to whip. Aeothe Kaear 0 Report post Posted April 6, 2007 Well he better be fine. Cuz I want minimun 10 goals in the playoffs outta him. Minimum 10, I like that... even the Y man himself never put up 10 playoff goals in a year (although he surely would've in '99 if things hadn't gone horribly wrong). Guest Agalloch Report post Posted April 6, 2007 Someone of you seriously want to face Backstrom and Gaborik? Ever since those two have returned/entered the lineup, the Wild have been amazing. I'm not sure I want the Wild, but then again, the Flames are the type of team we always lose against. Plus, we'd have to go to western Canada. Bah, I don't know. Just give us the Blackhawks in the first round.
HockeyCrazy3033 168 Report post Posted April 6, 2007 I don't see the point in picking who we want to face. Who we play is who we play. If the Wings want to make a long run and go to the Cup they are going to have to face tough teams regardless. Have some faith, people, and for the love of God stop with this fear of Western Canada. SCREW them!
