Echolalia 2,961 Report post Posted April 9, 2007 Yeah seriously if we can get a good crowd going in the first game, people are bound to take the initiative throughout the rest of the season. There just has to be those few "leaders" in the crowd who aren't afraid to paint their torso red and white and scream obnoxiously throughout the entire game. Remember when we used to be Hockeytown? arnoldbuck 0 Report post Posted April 9, 2007 living on the west coast, all year the Van fans have watched Detroit games with me and told me what a poor atmosphere the Joe had. (I have to agree) With the heavily, and over-debated corporate seats going un-used, and often lack of enthusiasum by fans, the atmosphere was definatley lacking. But its playoff time, hopefully asses will fill the seats and voices will be left at the games! Wish I could be there with you guys. (and girls)

GoWings1905 2,694 Report post Posted April 10, 2007 I think something that Ken and Mick mentioned a few days ago has a lot to do with the playoff atmosphere at JLA. I think the past couple of seasons, fans have taken for granted the Wings advancing past the first round, and when there are only three home playoff games, it is labeled as "quiet". Moreso than ever this year, I expect fans and the team to appreciate each home game, knowing there may not be a second round or hopefully a third and fourth. I remember how loud and awesome the atmosphere was during the 2002 playoffs, and I hope it returns starting on Thursday night. I will be terribly upset if The Joe isn't rocking for every home game. arnoldbuck 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2007 Maybe one of the Nuck's fans can clarify for us, but I am pretty sure in the last few games I saw that towels had been placed over every seat at GM place. Cuz at game time, everyone had them.

Kp-Wings 3 Report post Posted April 10, 2007 I *would* certainly like to go. However, given the price of tickets, parking, yada yada yada, and everything else, I can't. I have other things I need to spend my money on unfortantly. Plus I really don't have a whole lot of money to begin with.
