i think most of all im just frustrated, cause we finally get zetterberg back, the last of our injury worries, sparing kops and kronner, and then this happens, theres just no end to this crap

I guess I may be panicking a little. But, I do believe that the Wings really need to win Games 1 and 2 to have a chance in this series. And not having Bert there doesn't help matters... :(

But, I would rather have Zed back than Bert, if I had to pick one of the two... :)

You may not get either. Odds of Z coming back for Game 1 is not good. I say 1 in 4.

It's a psychological tactic. :( Making the Flames think they won't have to deal with him. All the while, they are feeding him nothing but Harley motorcycles and showing him video of his mother being beaten by a man in a Flames jersey.

haha i love it. I am with you on this one

damnit, didnt Z say he was gonna be back for game 1, i swear i saw the article on here

http://www.mlive.com/redwings/stories/inde....xml&coll=1

"He's going to play, he's ready to go,'' Mike Babcock said. "He's been (skating) for two weeks, it's about time he plays.''

Babcock said he will reunite Zetterberg with Pavel Datsyuk. Along with Tomas Holmstrom, they formed one of the most dominant lines in the NHL from late December until the end of February. Zetterberg had 14 goals and 28 points in his last 13 games before being idled.

Datsyuk, who continued to flourish in Zetterberg's absence, said he's happy to have him back as the center on their line so that Zetterberg can resume doing the back-checking.

"I think if I come back I have to do a little bit of back-checking,'' Zetterberg said. "But, I don't mind that, playing with him. Today was the first time we practiced together (on the line) in a long time. We had fun out there, like always.''

Zetterberg said he feels better than he did last week and hasn't experienced what he termed a bad day for some time. Still, he said he needs to see how he feels today before being absolutely certain of his status.

"If I feel like this, I'm going to play Thursday,'' he said. "I feel pretty good, confident.''

man i hope youre right

I hope he's right too. I am just saying that he may play it safe for game 1. But hopefully that is just misinformation. But I am still not going to get my hopes up. I will remain in a state of reserved optimism.

No Z , and No Bert.

Datsyuk better be a one man show our were in trouble

Dude, please don't make misinformed statements like that. All you are doing is fostering negativity.

Holmstrom and Franzen both have more points than Dats against the Flames in our wins against them this season, so I guess that maybe we don't need a one-man show after all.

Well, I am cool with it so long as Bert will be back in the sadle again for game 2. Especially now since I just scored two nosebleed tickets. Well actually offsides got them for me for my B-day :) So its all good!

No one will know until game time on Thursday whos in and whos out. If I had to pick one guy to have to wait until Sundays game it would be Bert. I think they can live without him for a game. I would rather have Zetterberg back in there.

With the amount of recent injuries and our conquering the West, it just shows that our team is based on more than just a few players. They are playing like a team. If one or two players being out takes our chances from Awesome to squat than we have no business Hoisting the cup at the end as we don't have the best "team" in the NHL, we only have a few great players. I am not concerned at all, they have been playing like a team and it takes that team playing to battle through all 16+ games.

GO WINGS!
