If you loved the Weekend Picks game that Aussie_Wing had, you'll love this playoff edition. Mods, if you deem this as worthy, I would really appreciate you pinning this thread.

Here's how it'll work:

Each round, you will pick a winner of each series. For every correct series winner you predict, you will receive 5 points. Also to aid with tiebreakers you will also pick how many games the losing team in each series will win. If you pick the number of games correct, you receive a bonus 3 points. If you are incorrect, for every game you are off I will subtract 1 bonus point. After each round, every player will then pick again based on the teams the made through to the next round. Whoever has the most points at the end of the season, wins Playoff bragging rights.

If any of your are confused, I'll do a mock picks example:

Hey Mac, I already made my picks and I understand how you're doing your point system. But i'm confused by the language.

The way it reads you say you get 3 points "BONUS" if you pick the correct number of games the losing side actually wins. So therefore, if you didn't pick the correct number of games, you'd not only NOT get a bonus, you'd get subtracted from your 5 points anything you were off by.

For instance you say Detroit over Calgary in 6. In actuality it goes Detroit over Calgary in 7 would net you 5 points +2 for 7 points.

The way I read it it would seem that in that scenario you'd get 5 points for picking the Wings and then -1 point for being off 1 game for Calgary. That would net you 4 points.

It seems the way you've got it if you pick the winner you already get the 3 bonus points.

Given that the team you picked to win actually does win the series, you will then have the opportunity to receive up to 3 bonus points. For every game you are off for the losing teams actual win total, I will subtract 1 bonus point.
