Awsome GDT AFLAC !!!

Besides actually winning the cup, this is my favorite moment of the entire season...the calm before the storm...the anticipation is practically tangible ! I can hardly wait, but I'm ready for a tough series to get going - I just hope the Wings are too !

Let's Go Red Wings!!! :burnout:

We Want Stanley!!! :stanley:

p.s. - ROFL @ LILAHS (Lang is lazy and he sucks) official name change :D

Well well well, the real GDT is here! Hooray!

I can't believe it has finally arrived, with this overly long regular season, it seems like

the playoffs will never arrive.

I'm calling for the Mule to have a great game. He might not add to the scoresheet, but he'll be

agitated to the extreme, and causing turnovers!

Let's hope that neither side has any more injuries than they're already dealing with, because when we

do advance, I don't want any sissy-excuses. :P

Wings: 3 [Lidstrom (PP), Datsyuk, Lang (set up by Mule's fantastic assist)]

Flames: 2 (Huselius (PP), Lombardi) Lombardi does still play with the Flames, yes? :P

P.S. Hartnell is a dirty dirty bastige!

P.S.S. Oh, and mind the sig will ya~! :P

Just had some "water-cooler" talk, anyone else on board with Bertuzzi sitting out until the first game in Calgary? I mean, I know nobody knows the extent of his concussion problem, or the severity, but that game would give him an extra 5 days to "recover".

I'll just refer to my ava, GO WINGS! :siren: I'm a bit nervous but also very confident about the game.

I'm going to prepare by watching my recently arrived copy of the "Celebration of Champions" DVD set. :) That should get me even more pumped for the game!

Time for Red Wings playoff hockey, my fellow LGWers!

My heart couldn't be pounding anymore than it already is.

Hey NFM, got any Redi-Whip in your fridge. Keep upright, inhale.. that'll get your ticker going faster. LOL!

I am ready for this game, even though I watched hockey til 2:30AM here this morning. I dragged myself to work and talked hockey with a tech at Time Warner in St. Louis (job related stuff). He's a Wings fan!! He said it can be difficult, living in St. Louis. No doubt!

I make no prediction other than the Wings will win if they score more goals than the Canucks. And please win in regulation, OK?

Is Mac out tonight? I hope he's on the way to the salon for a makeover. I love ya, Mac, but... wow! :P

The day has finally came, I am feeling good about today and probably won't get anything done today at work, all I'm thinking about his 7:00pm Eastern Standard Time.

Good Luck guys.

Datsyuk,Zetterberg, and Homer Reunion I can't wait

It sounds incredibly hokie, but this time of year "Stanley Cup OCD" kicks in, so I'm always looking for 'signs'...

... I walk out my front door this morning and there, in the bush right off the front porch sits this bright red male cardinal with his red wings, just a few feet away.

Maybe that's a good sign?

Anyway... the kiddies will be sporting their Red Wing garb tonight in hopes of some good karma.

I had a dream last night where the wings destroyed calgary. Seemed like everyone on the ice got a goal (and for some reason, babcock scored in the waning moments of the game.....yeah, Im not sure how that happened, but i gotta say he looked pretty good out there, I say we put him on our fourth line...)

Back in the real world, I say it will be a defensive game, with the wings shutting down the flames. Flames get one past Hasek early on on a deflection off a wing (curse you draper, that is not what we meant when we said we wanted you to be more invovled in scoring!), but the wings get it back when both lang and lidstrom score in the second. Pavel get an assist and clangs one off the iron unfortunately.

I feel a Z goal to win it. Really would like to see Huds score as he always seems like a kid at Christmas when he gets one.

Will admit will be holding breath the first tme they run at Z. But i figure there was a Karmic reason he had the locker next to Stevie . I am guessing it was to absorb the "vibe" to play through pain for occasions such as this.
