arnoldbuck 0 Report post Posted April 17, 2007 (edited) Aggghhhh!!!! It has just occured to me that the Red WIng game might be blocked where I live with the Cancuks game being on. Nooooo!!! I may have to go find a pub ... but I have an exam in the morning. This is some cruel joke. Has anyone watched any of the games so far on the CBC web feed? Because the CBC scheduel is covering the Wings game, (except in BC) so perhaps I could get it online. Or any other online source ... I live in Canada so I dont think I can use Yahoo. Anyone have any idea's? Edited April 17, 2007 by arnoldbuck
wings4thecup06 504 Report post Posted April 17, 2007 Soooo excited/nervous for this game, should be awesome playoff hockey! I reckon the wings willl come out flying again. If bert plays, I think sammy would be better off sitting, partly because that fourth line has played so well recently, and if we can continuosly roll four lines and keep up our game, then like dom said, what can they do?? GO WINGS!!
Wings_Rule_1010 4 Report post Posted April 17, 2007 I am super nervous for this game, because Calgary is awesome at home and kipper has been having well. But as long as the Wings came make it through the first 10 minutes (as Calgary's fans should have the team fired up). An early goal would also be nice, to silence the crowd. cincywingfan 1 Report post Posted April 17, 2007 (edited) I tried reading through all 5 pages....forgive me if I missed the answer to my question.... For Center Ice people not in Metro Detroit (or MI).... Since it's the second game of the night in versus...Do we run the risk of joining the game in progress? And if so can I get the CBC or FSND feed on Center Ice???? Thus far I have been forced to watch on NBC or Versus as my CI has not picked up a CBC or FSND feed for this series. LET'S GO RED WINGS.....LET'S GO RED WINGS.....LET'S GO RED WINGS..... edit: grammar Edited April 17, 2007 by cincywingfan
tazzer82 0 Report post Posted April 17, 2007 Awesome GDT as usual Aflac. I just want to see the guys coming out with the same effort they have in the first 2 games, and there should be no worries. The Flames seem to be a bit relaxed now that they're on home ice, so maybe that will work to the Wings advantage as well tonight. Hopefully no one on the team gets hurt, and we come away with this series being 3-0. One thing I was thinking about though watching the last game, Babs should really seperate Lazy and Sammy. Those 2 being on the same line is just a disaster waiting to happen IMO. Calder is the only one that seems like he does anything productive when that line is out there. I see Calder going for a puck, and Lang is just kindof standing there watching, frustrates me to no end. Let's Go Red Wings

Flip-check 6 Report post Posted April 17, 2007 (edited) Guys, I monopolized Bob on the phone today (even though HoH kept butting in from across the room), and we got the problem diagnosed. What is it that's been hampering Robert Lang all season long, and has been on him two games into the playoffs? Performance anxiety, pure and simple. The same thing that may not help a guy "be there" when he's needed the most... it's happening to Bobby, here, because he's loved us so much and he wants only to please us all. Offsides was talking about Lang pulling up a clutch goal soon--I think he's able to get there. He's close people: I know, because he turned down an offer for a McD's card in the mail. So it looks like all he needs is some love. Some love and reassurance that is so crucial to helping him get his confidence back. If he can get this.. he can start skating, quit the burgers, and light it up soon. So for my part of Langer-love, I'm dedicating this one to you, sir. An "Ode to Lang" to the tune of the Plain White T's 'Hey there Delilah': -- Hey there Lang-O What's it like in Calgary City? I'm a thousand miles away But girl tonight you look so pretty Yes you do Time Square can't shine as bright as you I swear it's true Hey there Bobby Don't you worry about the distance I'm right there if you get lazy Give this song another listen Close your eyes Listen to my voice it's my disguise I'm by your side Oh it's what you do to me Oh it's what you do to me Oh it's what you do to me Oh it's what you do to me What you do to me Hey there Mister No-Effort I know times are getting hard But just believe me girl Someday I'll pay the bills with this guitar We'll have it good We'll have the life we knew we would My word is good Hey there Jim-Bob I've got so much left to say If every simple song I wrote to you Would take your breath away I'd write it all Even more in (brotherly) love with me you'd fall We'd have it all Oh it's what you do to me Oh it's what you do to me Oh it's what you do to me Oh it's what you do to me A thousand miles seems pretty far But they've got planes and trains and cars I'd walk to you if I had no other way Our friends would all make fun of us and we'll just laugh along because we know That none of them have felt this way #20 I can promise you That by the time we get through The world will never ever be the same And you're to blame for your awesome game Hey there Delilah You be good and don't you miss me Two more years and you'll be done with school And I'll be making history like I do You know it's all because of you We can do whatever we want to Hey there Delilah here's to you This ones for you Oh it's what you do to me Oh it's what you do to me Oh it's what you do to me Oh it's what you do to me What you do to me. Seraph 240 Report post Posted April 17, 2007 Like I said last time, the first goal is going to be critical. We all saw how they completely broke down when Dats lasered the first one into the net. I think if the Flames score first, they'll get really physical and fend us off for the rest of the game. Go Wings, be hungry! And what's with Babs keeping Bertuzzi out? It's almost as if he's aggrevating a bull inside his pen before setting it loose with his "I'm not convinced yet."

arnoldbuck 0 Report post Posted April 17, 2007 Wow, it IS just like that. They are poking him with a sharp stick with a Flames' logo on it. God do I hope that is the case. Of course I want Dats to contniue to be hot tonight. I'd like Z to get one. (its funny, it has only been two games back, but I'm like ... come on Z, you can do it!) But on top of them, I'd like to see Bert and his line really have a solid game ... Couple big hits, a goal, maybe even a whole meal of food. And the 4th line, I've been so impressed (as with most ppl) especially with Filp. Keep it up guys.
Vincanni 1 Report post Posted April 17, 2007 I'm hoping for a split here, and all signs point to this being the game we drop which sucks because I want to win this one more than anything. Flames: 3 Wings: 2 Wings out shoot Calgary 2 to 1 and roar back in the 3rd just to fall painfully short.

puckloo39 5,686 Report post Posted April 17, 2007 re: Flip-Check... "Mister No-Effort" you are so bad. Flames will be a bit hungier tonight, and perhaps so embarrassed that they actually show up. Look out, Wings! I think our guys will be prepared for anything, they certainly sound like it in interviews. I wish Bert was playing. Maybe I will get a nice surprise when the puck drops tonight... Andy Pred 48 337 Report post Posted April 17, 2007 Good Luck tonight boys, can't listen in to this one will be earning a buck!! come out hard and fast like the first 2 games catch them off guard and hopefully get them on the back foot at home early on. take the crowd out of the game and were halfway there . LGRW.
RedLightGoesOn 81 Report post Posted April 17, 2007 Again this is about momentum. Wings need to score the first goal early to take the crowd out of the game. This is a must win, a 3-0 seriesputs the flames on the verge of going out. Play Bert, his presence on the ice will defintely be big. This is all winnable, the Wings just have to know how to get things done and get them done. I think Hasek will become the Dominator tonight. Wings will win 2-

Rice 42 Report post Posted April 17, 2007 No score prediction, as usual, but I'll say what I always do; it's worked so far. The Wings aren't going to get complacent and know they have to work for a win. With the way they've been dominating the Flames I have a hard time beleiving a change in scenery will do all that much (knock on wood). The Wings come out hard again and it's important they take an early lead to quiet the fans.
