I'm not saying you are dumb, but that's definitely the rep you are building for yourself. You don't have to like Bert, you don't have to accept Bert, but you should probably accept that other people will like him...for your own good. As far as the real Kris Draper goes, he used to have a different role on the Wings than he has now...times are a changin'. Same with Bert. I think he will have a different role on this team than he had in the past and it will take a while to adjust to that new role. A lot of players have come to the Wings and adjusted to great success here. Bert could totally fit that niche. Copenhagen 848, I like your avatar, and the saying underneath...funny! Bannedforlife 403 Report post Posted May 7, 2007 Since the 01-02 season, Bertuzzi has been putting up more or less a point per game, even after he went to Florida he had 7 points in 7 games until he had back surgery. I think resting for a couple months after the playoffs will allow him time to fully heal and if he does come back to Detroit next year we could see him put up 60-70 points on the #2 line. The old NHL was perfect region for Bert, but the times has changed. Pity. Plus, San Jose doesn't have enough players smaller than him that he can pick on. We came back from 2-0 deficit twice in the remaining seconds, we scored two HUGE clutch goals in GAME 4 (Holmer and Lang) Dominated the Sharks the last 40 minutes of GAME 5 to make the series 3-2 in our favor with home ice advantage. We have key guys out and playing injured, broken hands and sore backs. We are coming in every game with broken bodies and hearts of steel. Bleeding to wn. Yet we still have "so called" Red Wing fans here bitching about players? This is disgusting that we have such retarded fans! I'm ashamed and embarrassed of people like you! Please stop! You don't deserve to be a Detroit Red Wing FAN! While our TEAN is sweating, bleeding, and full of determination to win, we have "so called" fans like you who are never pleased with what Detroit brings. You disgust me you pitiful infest of life. But this is what happens when a team or anything else, gets popular. People think things should be done a certain way or a certain player needs to be doing more. Its amazing how people call themselves fans and can rip someone apart the way they do. Bert might not be doing much on the score sheet but give the guy a break. Hes barely played all year. Who you gonna put in, Hudler? I like him but hes too small for this series. Langfeld? Yeah hes comparable to what Bert can do. a lot of people had this team done against the Flames, even more against ths Sharks and now they are a win away from the West Finals for the first time in 5 years and people want something to ***** about. Is anything ever good enough? What are they supposed to do go 16-0 and every player have 8 goals each in the playoffs? Just appreciate the run they are on. This is the most fun I've had since 97. 98 I knew they were going to win and after the Canucks in 02 I just had that feeling, not as much but still a bit. Just enjoy it. He seems to be getting a litlte better every game. He's a big body that we need out there. He hasn't been carrying this team, but I don't believe that's what we traded for him for. The fact that he has missed so much time and is most likely still recovering from his back and concussion shouldnt' be ignored. All things considered I say he's doing fine and should only improve.
