edicius 3,269 Report post Posted May 12, 2007 Heaven forbid if Loo's sitting near the Duck's bench. Poor bastard wouldn't make it down the hall without multiple cuts Seriously, Hasek gets struck in the head repeatedly, and WE are SH? I'd like some of what the refs are smoking, please? I'm curious who made the call there. If it was Koharski, it wouldn't surprise me. Devorski usually isn't too bad. GREAT first period for us, especially with all the time on the PK. Ducks PP Time: 4:38 Wings PP Time: 0:
RainingBlood 8 Report post Posted May 12, 2007 great 1st my only gripe is too many penalties, but 1 for 1 on the pp is pretty good.

Dabura 12,232 Report post Posted May 12, 2007 The ground rules have been set: - Hasek's a beast - Our D's more than capable - They're not going to outmuscle us Kill 'em in the second, boys.
edicius 3,269 Report post Posted May 12, 2007 I just noticed that too...Nice feature to add Well thats the end of the first Seems to keep up pretty well too. The Game Summary is always good for keeping track of penalties and such, but SOG and goals are usually pretty delayed. The Real Time scoreboard is good for both. YoungGuns1340 1 Report post Posted May 12, 2007 The Ducks have an impressive PP. Every time they have time at the point, I get really nervous. Thank God our PKers have been up to the task.

Heroes of Hockeytown 694 Report post Posted May 12, 2007 Thoughts after one: Good period. We're winning, playing the same physical Wings hockey we're all suddenly used to, and PKing like champs. The Dominator has come to play. Still, too many penalties. Don't wanna go back to the "Good PK" well too often.
Wings_Fan_In_Exile 3 Report post Posted May 12, 2007 Kudos to Hasek and the PK, both of which have had an excess of work so far. And for a flukey goal, I thought it was purdy. Not a bad start at all.
edicius 3,269 Report post Posted May 12, 2007 Someone stop me from destroying my TV throwing a brick at Clement's head. Oh s***, Mess on Versus. Yeah, it certainly is. Oh, you mean Messier. Same diff.

Dabura 12,232 Report post Posted May 12, 2007 Engblom: "A lot of penalties in that period, some by each team. I like what Andy did, getting in there and roughing up Hasek."
Systemfel 33 Report post Posted May 12, 2007 Solid period with good PKing. Did you see the two non-calls just before the Ducks' 5 on 3 power play? A huge interference by Pronger after a Wings dump-in and then some crystal clear stick work that should have been a hookinh penalty on PÃ¥hlsson. Damn it, refs. edicius 3,269 Report post Posted May 12, 2007 According to Brian Engblom, Anaheim's gameplan involves McDonald punching Dom in the head. Brilliant.

Yep, Anaheim's gotten away with at least 3 obvious obstruction calls by my count. Pronger had two of 'em. Did he obstruct his way to a Norris nomination or something? Heroes of Hockeytown 694 Report post Posted May 12, 2007 Wow, suddenly I like Glenn Healy more than Brian Engblom. Glenn calls McDonald on his dick move against Dom.
RainingBlood 8 Report post Posted May 12, 2007 Wings have the potential to really frustrate the ducks , by the way dom is playing soo far, and the way they are hussling to a loose puck.
YoungGuns1340 1 Report post Posted May 12, 2007 I love how NHL chose to do an article on how "Ducks 'D' has major depth." Just ignore the fact that Detroit is in the Conference finals with their 7th and 8th defenseman playing huge minutes.
