For Wings forwards... Well the Ducks got the bounces that I said would decide the series, so good for them but MAN did Pavel Datsyuk prove that he is an elite NHL forward beyond all doubt and homer instinct!

Datsyuk's lack of scoring in 2003, 2004, and 2006 was the main reason we went out early. 2007, Datsyuk scored goals and we made it to the Final 4.

It's was great to see him finally produce in the playoffs.

If he had done it in the first 2 periods , I would have been more pleased.

That said , No offence to Homer , but other then game 3 he wasent great.

Get Datsyuk a good winger next year (Or a healthy one , though we cant control that) and Im sure he'll be even better next year.

He has proven to be a solid 1 and a half way Center

You gotta wonder about Holmstrom, cuz he has not been the same since the cheap shot from Pronger.. Before that he seemed unstopable, burying everything... but he just wasnt the same player after the hit......

 Wow, that's a nice little dream world you live in there. And where does the responsibility lay in the 5 or so guys with more scoring expectations then Dats those years?

I'd give him more of a chance then that. It's only been 3 game since that hit, and he came out to set up a goal right after the hit, so don't be too harsh. I wouldn't be surprised if was a little shaken up after having his head crushed. I would be. But he's hard as balls, we've seen him smashed around like a pinball before. He'll be fine after some rest. No one plays at their full physical ability this late in the playoffs unless they're incredibly lucky.

DS. I agree that Pavel came through. He has been my favorite Wing for years now and I think that he learned some valuable lessons in this post season. He only gets better and better and that is going to be fun to watch!

And for those of you who don't like him or think he should do it all, blow me because he is here for 7 years and there isn't a thing you can do about it! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

P.S. DS, Did I really say that hanfd of fate thing? Was that on a near goal or something?

ah, we've been through this many times already. Who on the Wings (besides he's lazy and he sucks Lang) produced offensivley in the PO's??? NObody. How was Cujo or any goalie supposed to win with little goal support?

Did you not even notice his great backchecking and checking, his physicality???

It was nice to see Dats step up the way he did after getting his payday. While I still worry about the length of the contract in relation to how much he got, he definitely alleviated some of my biggest fears with his playoff performance.

I am so proud of Pavel's efforts last night. He did all he could to try and win, He even had a Huge Check in the game as well. 2 road playoff goals in one period, wow.

Everyone should be happy we are going to have this guy around for a long time and I'm super pumped about it. I can see Datsyuk and Zetterberg leading us to more than one Championship down the road.

Awesome game Pavel, You never cease to Amaze me
