I know exactly what you're saying. I can find my way around the kitchen (Wife is 1000x better), and happen to make what I consider a very nice red tomato pasta sauce. (Lotsa red wine, and put some white sugar, use some nice sausage - that's key.) But once? And I swear I didn't change up much, I had to dump it in the sink before she got home. We ordered out. I retraced my steps, thought about it, looked at the cutting boards to see if I forgot anything - it was AWf***INGFUL. Still intrigues me. Cleaned the kitchen, and ordered out. Was just one of those days I guess. Wasted.

Kira 451 Report post Posted July 5, 2008 You can cook for years and still screw up things. It took me years before I could make "s*** on a shingle" the way my other half likes it. For those who don't know what that is, it's creamed chipped beef on toast. So I'm watching the 6PM news tonight and they had a little blip on the Blue Angels, who are in Traverse City this weekend for the Cherry Festival. And guess who got to fly with them this year? Dallas Drake! Hopefully there will be some photos in the papers tomorrow.

My kingdom, and all that lies within, for 1(one) lb of those crispy and sweet Bing cherries. There are none better.

Hockeytown0001 7,652 Report post Posted July 27, 2010 Bump. I'm wondering what goes through my mind during the night as I'm dreaming. Like last night, being chased by two random people and sliding all over the road in the dead of night while driving under 10 overpasses in a row. Weird, right? Hockeytown0001 7,652 Report post Posted July 27, 2010 Too much beer before bed causing you to have odd dreams? I wonder if we sleep better when we dream or when we don't. I've been having dreams lately, have a hard time actually remembering them but I know I am and it's been a long time since I remember dreaming. Whenever I occasionally have a beer at night, I usually do dream. They may be a bit stranger than normal. But I always make it a habit to try and remember my dreams because it can be fun to look back at them. One dream that sticks out was a dream I had when I was 8 years old about being inside a volcano with Mickey Mouse. Obviously I had no beer before that one, but a strange one nonetheless.
