Excuse you. I live and die with this team, so maybe you need to check your radar and see that the Ducks do have diehards out there.

oh i dont doubt there are direhards out there for the Ducks.

just as there are some for teams like the Florida Panthers.

nothing against you and your fans, but your team plays like a bunch of goons.

to me, thats not a champion NHL team. its hard to want to respect a team like that.

A few things..

Duckette, being that this is a Wings board, one should expect that there will be a few posters with a bit of hostility toward other teams. I get s*** from Sharks fans each time I go to the HP sporting my Wings jerseys. It's to be expected. Of course, I'm sure you're aware most use common sense and don't agree with kylee's statements.

However, kylee's statements were totally false. Unfortunately, (as some may already know) I live in Shark territory (fortunately, there are some Wings fans around here -- one of them was an acting bartender for one of our parties!), but the fans here are most certainly not fairweather fans. While in Socal I've rarely run into Ducks fans (mostly Kings fans), the fans of hockey there know it isn't one of the more prominent sports around there. One thing I appreciate is there are hockey fans in general, particularly in California, where it seems a rare breed. I'm all for bashing a team's playing style, even Duckette conceded that, but bashing the fans (I'm sure there are plenty of bandwagoning Wings fans, too) is retarded.

But, the BS reffing was going on all night, so what are ya gunna do?

What are you complaining about? The Ducks are the ones getting away with all of the clutching and grabbing. THey just couldn't do it tonight.

I do admire your dedication. Pronger has been doing the same s*** year after year after year. You just haven't seen it until this year. Early in his career the biggest problem with him was that he couldn't control his temper and stay out of the box. 10-12 years ago, he ended up hurting his team with stupid penaties. Now because he is a "superstar", the refs swallow their whistles and let him hurt other players.

I didn't think that hit was that terrible... the thing that made it bad was McCammond's head slamming agains the ice Eric Lindros style...

Yeah. An elbow to the head isn't that bad.

While I don't think he intended to elbow him in the head, or to hurt him (if he had, he would have fully extended those elbows and he brought them in right before the hit) I want Pronger suspended, at least 1 game. His play has been disgraceful and he played like crap last night. He should have been benched, then it wouldn't have happened. But, the BS reffing was going on all night, so what are ya gunna do? I still steamed about the entire game, but w/e. If Pronger isn't suspended, he needs to get on his knees and thank God.

I feel bad for you Duck fans. I still think Anaheim will win this in 5 or 6, but Pronger just puts has put a cloud over two great series imo. I thought the Wings-Ducks was an awesome series - one tainted by the one dirty hit. The Ducks are up 2 games to none in the SCF - I fully expected the Sens to win one at home - so he loses his cool again? wtf?

I'm in Toronto on business so I get TSN 24-7 hockey of course. :D One guy was just trying to justify that he's 6'6" and it's not his fault. BS!

The best thing that could happen is for him to get canned for the rest of the SCF - have the Ducks win - then sure he'lll get his name on it - but he wouldn't have been part of the last games of his own doing - somewhat tainting his Cup run. Let guys like Selanne and Giguere get their name on fairly - while Pronger is sitting in the stands. Ducks don't need him to win anyways.

That's true. It was ridiculous how many calls went in the Ducks favor over the Wings. I should probably sig this since I've been posting this so much, but the reffing has been consistently bad this whole season -- particularly in the playoffs. Something really has to be done about how marginal calls are being called yet the big penalties are far too overlooked.

you shouldnt intentionally be takin shots to someones head, watch tomorrow hes gonna talk about how its physics and its cause hes shorter then he is lmfao ......whats funny is during the 2nd intermission they were talking about how next season they were gonna call penalties on any shot to the head

McAmmond threw his head in front of Pronger's elbow just like Homer did...... no way is that Pronger's fault.....*scof choke puke belch fart*

I hope they sit him down for the remainder of the playoffs. Should they reward cheapshotting people by letting them have a chance to win the cup? I think not...

im freaking tired of all these people saying all this s*** on pronger. There is no way you can say that the hit today was intentional and the fact that half of you wouldnt even care about this hit if pronger hadnt hit Holmstrom

Wow. Are all Ducks fans this smart?

McCammond shot the puck, and was skating by. About 5 seconds later, Pronger blindsides him with an elbow to the head. And you stick up for him? Jesus Christ, stop being such a blind homer.

Duckette: Thank you for not being a total joke like justheducks. I'm glad some Ducks fans can think for themselves for once, rather then be blinded by the truth because a player on the team they root for actually (God forbid) did something bad.

Agree. I thought after Bertuzzi's hit on Moore that these kind of cheap shots were going to be hammered down upon. However, instead, there has been very little repercussions. One game is peanuts to a guy like Pronger. 20 games, on the other hand, would only begin to set a good example. I'm really tired of seeing goonery, particularly that kind of dangerous goonery that happens to classy teams like the Wings/Senators when they win or blow out teams (usually the game is decided already, either way) like Nashville, St. Louis, Calgary, and even Anaheim.

OK you put me in the awkward position of defending the Ducks. There's only one *goon* on the Ducks and we all know who that is. OK maybe Brad May falls into that category. But please tell me who the other goons are - and why they are so different than any other hockey player?

The Ducks played two great hockey games - their village idiot lost it again in game 3 and now they are down 2-1. I don't see how the other guys outside of Pronger don't deserve some respect as hockey players.

Pronger is just a disgrace - anyone can see that now. It;s gonna be hard even for the Ducks to keep supporting his actions. I do hope he gets suspended - especially if McAmmond is out with a concussion (he's no Homer!). I'd like nothing better than to get his ass canned so he's not on the ice if/when the Ducks win. Then they can trade him off to some dark hole like Columbus - and we can taunt him 8 times a season!

I'll be surprised if he gets another suspension. I have never NOT wanted a team to win the cup as much as I do now. It would make me sick to see Pronger raise it.

Coincidental that both hits were when his team is down.

:caution:

Yeah Detroit fans started to hate Pronger because of the hit on Holmstrom. I'm sure it had nothing to do with all those years we beat St.Louis in the playoffs and he would run at our captain and stars with his cheapshots.

Unlike you nobody else here started watching hockey this March so we all knew about Pronger's career as a cheapshot artist. Most people here were fans before your team entered the league, and judging by your immature approach probably since before you were in diapers. So show some respect, don't come in here talking down to people starting a flame-fest. You just embarass yourself and all of the decent Ducks fans who post here with your ignorance.

Seriously how does this kid still have privlidges? Every post he makes is a flame that has no valid point. If this one doesn't proove he has no clue of what he's talking about then I don't know what will

For people who think that is a suspentional hit. Your delusional. Nothing more then two minute elbowing penalty should have been called.

I think you're wrong. The fact that he just laid a guy out and got suspended for it several games ago - in a similar situation when his team was down - just makes a strong case against him. The NHL has a loose canon. Sure Bettman and the NHL have no balls - but they did come down on him last time - and they had an out in that Homer returned to the game. All signs point to McAmmond being out - I think that will factor into the decision. He cannot keep doing this and get away with it - I would say more than 1 game this time. I'll be disappinted if not, but I've been disappointed before.....

I'll be STUNNED if Pronger gets suspended again. I just don't see it happening. He deserved a 5 minute major for it, of course. But even though it resulted in injury to McAmmond, it's just not quite as cheap as the hit on Homer (simply as that was against the boards).

I think the one(s) that WILL be getting their ass(es) handed to them are the official(s) that missed the call, putting the NHL ireviewers in the same spotlit glare of the media yet again.

He's just a goon and is nowhere near Lindstrom. He is a sore loser and a disgrace to the NHL. I just watched the video of him trying to take out Yzerman and it made feel so good to see him laying on the ice.

I hope sure as hell hope so, the refs missing that call is so rediculous. Hopefully Campbell doesn't screw this one up as bad as they did, McAmmond's had concussion problems in the past so for all we know this one might be his career ender. Big man Pronger, big man way to be a consummate professional! If you can't beat em, then beat em up!

well just like the wings series , the fact that the refs missed the call again should be the reason he gets 1 game , the league keeps saying how they wanna stop those hits in the game well they gotta make guys know they mean it , especially assholes like pronger who keep doing the same thing repeatedly

Pronger got suspended last time due to many reason; score was 4-0, hit from behind, blow to the head from behind, elbow from behind, holmstrom was the key player in the game in their grill all night.

tonight the only thing going into the suspension is an elbow to the head, but it was in the heat of the action, he was knocked out, but u can argue because he hit his head on the ice. this wasn't even that vicious. he won't be suspended. GUARANTEED.

anyone else look at these assholes on the ducks board, saying it was a legal hit, the best part is half of them are like ok ok the Holstrom hit i could see but not this, when against the wings they were saying it was also clean, those people would protect him if he stabbed someone out there on the ice, makes me wonder if im that blind of a homer, GOD I HOPE NOT

Acquit! Acquit! Acquit! O.J. Simpson, and Ray Lewis are just a couple pieces of living proof that if you have enough fans, you CAN get away with murder and they will still love you!

People are blinded by loyalty, he could do whatever he wants. As long as he's in that jersey some people won't have a bad thing to say about him.

Sure you can argue the damage was from him hitting his head on the ice, but why did his head hit the ice?

The plot thickens:

http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/news;_ylt=AsAq...p&type=lgns

"Anaheim Ducks forward Chris Kunitz's return to the lineup was a short one in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup finals Saturday.

Playing his first game in three weeks after breaking a bone in his right hand, Kunitz limped off the ice favoring his left leg early in the second period against the Ottawa Senators. He appeared to be hurt after an open-ice check on Ottawa's Dean McAmmond.

Kunitz left the ice and went directly to the team's locker room.

The Ducks announced Kunitz sustained a lower body injury and his return was doubtful. "

Motive, my dear Watson. :sly::):hehe::lol:
