Hasek to return next year?

It's proably because Ozzie isn't able to win a Stanley Cup...........Wait.

Maybe its because he doesn't have 300+ wins............................Wait.

Or its because he has such high salary demands........................Wait.

And I'm not even an Ozzie loyalist.

Neither am I, but it escapes me why some people rip on Ozzie. He's a very fine goalie and a wonderful man, no debate here. Detroit just chews up goalies and spits them out, I've never seen anything like it. But with the pain, comes the reward of being a Red Wing, so I guess that's incentive enough for the likes of Ozzie and Dom.

I be vocally not a dom supporter but I do hope that he comes back, not because I think he gives th' wings a better chance at winning a cup than ozzie.... but because I be one o' th' few that likes th' team just th' way it was last season. Ye be never going to be tellin' what needs to be fixed if ye keep changing so many variables year aft year.

Diet Pepsi has no calories. Lang won't go for it.

Come on now. We've got to keep this somewhat realistic though. I mean, do you really want to fork over the big bucks and give Lang regular Pepsi? Diet is by far the cheaper option.

haha

Ozzie is awsome, he has got to be one of the nicest and most likable guys in the Wings and the NHL.

He is, I love him haha. I dont think I will ever get the lack of faith that people have in him though. If by some chance Hasek doesn't return I would have no problem with him being the starter

I will never understand all the Ozzie hate....

It's because he let in a few bad goals over 10 years ago, and they were absolutely positively the only thing that kept the Wings from winning the Stanley Cup in each of those years. It's all his fault the Wings don't have at least three more Cups.

How exactly?

Everybody forgets the fact that, coming off the lockout, the Wings signed Osgood to be the #1 goalie. He was injured early though, and since Legace started playing good, I guess the coaching staff just said "Hey, what the hell?" and played Legace. Personally I think that was a horrible decision though, because I think Legace sucks and had when the playoffs rolled around it was clear his stats were padded through the teams good defense. My own personal opinion here, but I think if Osgood had been the starter last year, we would, at least, have gotten past Edmonton.

I agree. I think that we would be fine having Ozzie as the #1. He is perfectly capable of it. But since I just saw that Hasek is coming back next year (thread about it on here with a link) I guess Ozzie will still be #2.
