Hasek to return next year?

Got that right

On a side note; anyone here wanting to keep Dats, & Hank on the same line? Well personally I don't think it's gonna happen for the next season, but if so there's this Swedish fella by the name of Michael Nylander who's a center (taking over Lang's spot), & a UFA come July 1st...Now personally I don't for a minute think Holland has any interest in him, but Holland does have that peculiar way about going after/signing people whom we never thought he would

Nylander is already claiming to want money in the 5.5 million range. Holland won't go for that at all.

Great news that Dom is MAY be comming back, I guess we will hear his decison tommorow? PLEASE BERT STAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I dunno really want Bert to stay. I would like to get bigger and nastier on D Cory Sarich would fit that role, so would Sutton one of those guys along with re signing Schnids IMO could put us over that hump next year.

Eklund thinks Hasek will get 5.5M :yowza:

This is just another instance where Eklund is dumb as sh*t. If Hasek is re-signed, I want people to look at my prediction (possible $2.5 million including bonuses) compared to Eklund's $5.5 million, and remember just how ridiculous he can be.

He also thinks Bert will only get 750k. Now I agree he won't and shouldn't get close to his 5.2 mil last year but under a million while Hasek would get 5.5m? Yeah right. Sometimes his stuff is fun to read for entertainment purposes but other times its just so out of no where. His rumors at one point had Haske to TB. And if he read anything he would know it was retirement or Detroit for Dom. And last years deadline, after the Wings already had Bert and Calder he had a rumor posted that Lapointe could be coming to Detroit. Don't know how that would have worked with the Wings being inches from the cap after getting those guys.

Eklund..... :nonono:

There isn't a single team in the league that wouldn't pay atleast 3 times that amount (even with his current back situation) to get Bert.

Like I said, I'd support Holland in bringing Lang back if he signed Lang to a 13-cheeseburger contract for the season. 14 cheeseburgers would be too much, but 12-13 I could be ok with.

Thats a bit steep for a base salary. I think you'd have to go for a more incentive filled contract with Lang. Maybe 7 cheeseburgers and an Angus burger for every goal past 20. Tell him BK will rename it the Langus burger if he signs.

Nah. I'd go with 5 regular cheesbergers for a base salary, then maybe if he hits 15 goals I'll throw in a double. For every 5 after that he gets a free refill of Diet Pepsi.

With all those fixins he'd have a whopper of a season for sure! Although, dont you think the players union would grill him if he signed such an offer? Not to mention with such an unhealthy diet he'd probably end up at the Mayo clinic before too long. Just some food for thought.

Nah, the players union won't be mad about it. It's already rumored that the Leafs are planning to offer Alexei Yashin a contract which features 10 cheeseburgers and a side of fries as a base salary! Not to mention if he hits 20 goals he'll get 5 double cheeseburgers, and free refills of regular Pepsi. They'll surely go after him first.

Im sort of on the fence with this one. Like litterally split 50/50. Part of me doesnt wanna take the "chance" that Hasek's body will just not do what he wants it to. And the other part of me knows that if Hasek can still play like he did last season, then we need to keep this guy between the pipes. Im just gonna cross my fingers and hope his age doesnt finally start to show. Cheli is doing it, but then again, goaltending is a far far different position when it comes to being 40+. I guess we'll be finding out this season.

No, he's the ******* that everyone hates to play against, and the ******* that I'd hate to have on the Wings. He's an amoral goon who couldn't care less about playing clean hockey. He gets his team up by taking cheap, illegal runs on opposing players, and I will not see the Wings win because one of their players disabled the other team's top man. That wouldn't be winning; it'd be simple assault. The Wings are a team which does not rely on underhanded methods to win; we win by playing good hockey. F*** Scott Hartnell; he can go to Anaheim if he wants to join another goonsquad.

Seriously, enough with the "I guarantee you'd love him if he played for the Wings" bulls***. It gets old when so many people think they know it. For my part, it is certainly not true of TooToo, Hartnell, or any of other other goons. I'd dislike them no matter where they played, and I can't say that I'd have much respect for those who would don the homer goggles.

:yowza::clap:

Here let me make this an actual post-

First of all holy s***e Crymson that was a complete post-smack, cheers!

And about Hasek... I wish he'd just make up his mind already and spill it... Detroit already has one lonely prospect goalie partly because he keeps coming back, so it's a thing where you HAVE to sign him if you can. The other options out there that aren't going to cost a pile of money are guys that (say what you want) aren't really any better than what we got sitting on the bench.

Diet Pepsi has no calories. Lang won't go for it.

LOL, my contract offer has grown into something far funnier, bravo.

Oh, I know. I have flat out stated that he is coming back on another forum I am on lol. But part of me is still nervous. But we will find out soon, I hope he is back. I mean as long as he is healthy I think he can still play like he did this past season. And if not, we have Ozzie, so I am not too worried at all

It's proably because Ozzie isn't able to win a Stanley Cup...........Wait.

Maybe its because he doesn't have 300+ wins............................Wait.

Or its because he has such high salary demands........................Wait.

And I'm not even an Ozzie loyalist.
