This sounds like a media tactic if you ask me. Wings get it in the press that they are interested in getting Raycroft to show to Dom that they have other options if he keeps holding up contract negotiations.

Good move by Holland and co. Put pressure on Dom to sign by showing that its not Hasek or bust here in Detroit.

I doubt Detroit really has any serious interest in Raycroft, so you can all relax.

guys, it IS still a rumor until a deal is signed, which i doubt will happen.

i'd be more frightened if kenny didn't have a backup plan.

nah i understand where you are coming from, but if raycroft is really as TERRIBLE as we make him out to be, why would kenny even be interested. I would think if a simple fan forum can see hes not so good, so would kenny.

On the flip side, what does kenny see with raycroft that would benefit the wings. Probably some intangible we dont detect.

Ozzie sucked, he was injured, and he was awesome. He went through three very different phases last year, ended the season on a high note, but still didnt show the consistency or the resiliency to be a starter.

If I were Hasek, I'd just laugh at the thought of putting out a Raycroft rumor as pressure... that's not really pressure.

We've all been on Kenny's ass the past couple days, but I seriously don't think he's lost it--not yet anyway.
