this is bull s***...I can't believe we're losing. And I don't think this P.O.S. vote counter ever counts my vote.

how do we get around this?

"Like all other polling software, they also let you control whether the same user can vote more then once or not. They let you decide how would you define the ’same user’ based on combination of factors like cookie or IP address or both."

i'm going to keep on voting, even though i know were going to lose. I'm not going down with out a fight! :battle:

it actually works on session cookies..

so all you need to do is close the session (close the browser down) and you can vote again immediately

if you found a way vote more than once, good. it's not working for me so put in some votes for me will ya. thanks :)

Put a fork in us

We are just about finished. It's too bad because I really think the Wings logo is the best in the NHL.

We're only 843 votes down. We can do it! </sarcasm>

Goooooooo Rorybots! I will definitely vote against the Canucks in all the other rounds, but I think the cheaters will find a way to pull it out. :(

the canucks.com board is the biggest collection of homer fanboys ever assembled.

one guy stated that they have basically ruined every poll available by constant voting for themselves no matter what.

if they had a poll for dumbest hockey team in the known universe they'd win it because they vote so much.

1/2 the fans on their forum admit their logo is a disgrace yet most keep voting anyway so they can win something. it's pretty pathetic.

with the cheating aside..i think it blows as well that we have one of the best logos and we can't get anyone to vote.

enchilada what do you have to say? :)

looks like the oilers fans are doing it too, there beating the avs.

and we all know the oilers logo sucks just as much as the nucks logo. <_<

ok, so maybe the lesson learned is that canadian fans are more numerous and dedicated? maybe they are teaming as long as they arent opposing each other?

Well, I went over to the canucks forum and posted and stirred up a hornet's nest. Oh well, screw 'em. I called out all their fanboys who admitted they think their own logo sucks but voted for it multiple times just so they could win.

in essence that's what is going on over there.

they seem to have 3 types of people

1. rational ones that know our logo kicks their ass so they voted wings

2. rational ones that truly believe the orca is better so they voted canucks. i'm cool with those folks they just have bad taste

3. the fanboys who know and admit the logo should lose but have hyped and pushed and done everything possible to get it to win the entire thing no matter what. frankly, there is no stopping that beast.

the absolute fervor with which they approach polls is frightening. I would not be surprised in the least if they win the entire thing. don't be fooled people. they don't have a broader fan base or more dedicated fans or any such nonsense over the Wings or many other teams. That's complete bulls***. This is about a group of homer fanboys who are too young, have too much time on their hands and vote repeatedly for themselves even though they know the truth. 100 wings fans with 1 vote each still can't trump 1 fanboy who voted 101 times. Don't believe for a second that they have some great fanbase that puts ours to shame.

We have principles!!! And we have a s***load of STANLEY CUPS! They have polls and rory fitzpatrick. ask yourself who you'd rather be rooting for? :P

As the gap grows, I just sit here in shock. I know it is nothing more than a stupid online poll. I know we have fantastic jerseys and a great logo. But still, just the principal of it all is frustrating.

I looked at the bracket from last year - the HURRICANES won. Don't take this thing to seriously guys.

Also keep in mind every fan who ever had anything against the Wings is voting for the Canuckleheads. St. Louis fans, Colorado fans, Dallas fans, the list goes on. The Wings have alot of their own fans, don't get me wrong - but the amount of fans out there that hate the Wings based on our success exceeds our numbers....its no use.

QFT!

I've been meaning to post something like this along the same lines, but kept forgetting. Thanks for picking up my slack. It's one reason why I was trying to be objective as possible when I voted. I'd hoped other hockey fans would be the same, but it doesn't look like it's happening.
