I know it's O-6 and some kind of sacrilege to not like the Habs logo, but I don't. Same with the Oilers logo. It's stupid. It's the *WORD* Oilers in a circle with a drop of oil. Lame. Thrashers What they all have in common: Complex, sharp looking logos that don't have crazy color combinations and aren't too cartoonish. Worst logos: 1. Sabres 2. Ducks 3. Blue Jackets 4. Predators 5. Canucks What they all have in common: Logos that are an attempt to look cool and modern and as such disregard normal aesthetic values. Color schemes often questionably used. Upon the realization the Sens intend to use the 'forward facing' logo as their standard logo going forward...I have to yank them from my top five. Replacing them will be the Boston Bruins at #5. Do you hate them so much you can't be objective about something as trivial as a logo tournament? By the way, the Leafs logo is better than the Devils, although the Devils is pretty good. Anyways, I gave the Wings a vote today, though I do admit I am a fan of the Kings logo, just nothing tops the winged wheel. Probably my favorite logo in all of pro sports. The beauty of the Habs logo is in its simplicity and elegance. Look at the Wings logo. Its not flashy at all. It's 2 freaking colors for crying out loud. Its a wheel and a wing. The wing is pretty cool but a wheel? Is there a more boring image you could put on a logo? A tire?? But the fact that that wheel means something to the location, the city, the history of that team makes it beautiful and elegant in its simplicity. I think the Habs is the same way. I surely don't see it as a toilet seat. Whatever. PS: Almost forgot to ask but I assume you like the Wings logo? If so, why? I've given you my opinion on the logo, which I love but believe to be rather simplistic in and of itself. It certainly isn't very imaginative in a sense like somebody went outside the box to create something like the Wild's 1/2 creature, 1/2 landscape image. What he's saying is that the longevity of a logo tells you a great deal about the how people feel about it. If they didn't like it, it wouldn't have lasted the test of time. When I look at the logo, I don't see bland. Rather I see a clssic, clean logo. It's the same way I feel about the Stick & Rink logo that Vancouver sported on their thirds last season. I personally think it does look like a toilet seat with an H bomb in it. oh i love it because its old and there is history...give me a break you big babies. it sucks to some people. get over it and stop trying to change other peoples minds about it.
